I helped my buddy / boss build this truck. I did all the stainless exhaust, fuel tank, drive shaft, and frame. Plus the wooden bed. So yes I do custom stuff also. LOL.... it’s a lot of fun. my buddy / boss has a lot of toys to play with.

Goddamn, that's some beautiful wood in that bed. Nicely done!

Hi Folks,

I am the neighborhood Mr. Fixit. I help out the neighbors in the area...some 144 houses with repairs, improvements etc. I work for beer only...many folks are shut-ins and cannot drive and are clueless on seeking repair of many simple things like kitchen cabinet door that came off the frame, for example. These old farts are amazing in what they were and did in their earlier life..I love sitting and letting them tell their story over a much appreciated beer or better yet...a Single Malt Scotch on the rocks!

It is a time in my life at age 70 to give back, much like these Forums where it is my time in life to give back...

Come December I’ll be starting my 34th year of being self employed as an interior painter. We specialized mostly in new custom homes when I was living back east. I sold the business 4 years ago and moved out to AZ and semi-retired at 51 but that’s not working out so well because I still find myself working a lot.lol That just gives me more money to buy stuff for my Ranger!

This is the last house I did while living back east. It was 5800 sq ft with 3 different staircases and a lot of detail throughout. This is the main staircase coming in the front entry.

I run the HVAC service department for the largest health care network in greater Dayton, currently have 54 medical buildings under my supervision w/12-15 more coming on next year. Been doing HVAC/R work for 15 years, did building maintenance and general contractor work prior to that. I also teach some classes and occasionally still do residential installs for friends and family

You're right....As long as you enjoy what you do that's all that really matters! I never look at any job as being un-interesting,everyone has their own "forte".
