Should we start a friendly bet when the last box will be unpacked? I think for certain there will be boxes left taped up in the rental house...

So, I think Dave's final box will be unpacked on

You never realize how much stuff (junk) you've accumulated over the years until you move.
:giggle::shock::frown::eek::crazy::LOL:
You're not kidding Fred! I really don't save much and try and go through and purge stuff every couple years. But even I was finding stuff scratching my head wondering why I saved this junk! :facepalm:

Annie on the other hand saves everything! Good thing she was away for her 3 week mandatory meeting when I "decluttered" the house. I may or may not have thrown some of her junk away by accident. ?:wink:

I've been told that if you pack something away and you don't use it in 6 months; you more than likely don't need it.

The exception would be clothes, as nobody gains back the weight they lost :giggle: and holiday decorations.

By the way, I still have boxes in the basement from when I moved in my house.

24 YEARS AGO!!! ;):headbang::crackup:

That is rough not having cold water for a shower! I'd be taking ice baths in that case. I am out in the heat all day and when I take a cold shower the mirror still fogs up. There has gotta be some relief; I wonder if there is some kind of water chiller for that market.

Oh it's awful taking a hot shower when you're hot and sweaty from working all day! It was so nice taking a cold shower Tuesday after spending 4 hours in the heat unloading the truck. There's so many posts on Nextdoor from new people who think their shower is broken. lol When reading all the comments I've never heard of any type of chiller. Some recommend putting pipe insulation on the pipes up in the attic. I'm not to sure it would work when it's that hot (110+) for that long because it's the main city water pipes taking in all the heat all day only being buried 18" deep.

Water chiller; hmmm... Seems like a market waiting for an invention. Something like inline refrigeration at each faucet; the opposite of an inline water heater (maybe a combo unit?)or reefer lines coiled around the intake line and a compressor the utility area. A "cold" shower is only like 70-75+Âş so It shouldn't take much to bring the temp down.

:idea: Maybe find a way to do a wrap from the HVAC? Kind of like heat tape on water lines for winter protection but this will cool the pipes from the AC unit.:wink:

I looked for it but "water chiller" refers to recirculating pumps for aquariums and hydroponics. We have point of use instant water heaters so why not chiller? Probably because it would need something strong like liquid nitrogen and we know how that's going to end up when the thing breaks and leaks.
