You must have been thinking quite a bit about what your contractor found this morning...

I think they dug the hole a bit too big. It was only supposed to be big enough for two.

I think it's natural to second guess your decisions especially when they're large ones like this but there's no turning back now! lol We should be in Tucumcari, NM late afternoon as long as I can stay awake. ? Thanks to all here for all the support it means a lot to us!!

Thanks Paul. I wish we had more time to spend and see more of the state. One thing though it’s really windy here! Ever since we hit the state line there’ve been heavy winds even here at the hotel. My mpg has only been averaging 20.6 which is the worst of all our travels cuz of the wind. You need rocks in your pockets to keep you from blowing away. ?

Annie takes a picture of every state sign when we’re traveling.

Thanks Mark! You should look into them and see if you can use it for business too. I wouldn't see why you couldn't?

I used it to move out here 9 years ago and they are really great to deal with. All their agents are super helpful from their telephone customer service to their local people on the lot. They really try and take the stress out of moving and are VERY accommodating! They do have Relo-Cubes similar to a POD but they're weight/size restricted. With the freight truck you can use as much space as you need without worrying you'll need another Pod or two. Total cost for us was $2,745 which I thought was reasonable considering the times we're in.
Thanks Dave and I do have an account with them. Most of my freight moves are in the Pacific NW from my Seattle office so I use Peninsula a lot. All my Pape facilities are in the West Coast but my a lot of my vendors are east of the Mississippi. I do sell everything needed for a warehouse but lots of shelving that's stocked in Seattle.

We made it here around 4:00 pm and I'll tell ya Oklahoma is a long ass state. lol I-40 is super boring as there's nothing really great to look at. There was one really cool site though which was the Groom Cross in Groom, Texas. It stands 19 stories tall and weight 2.5 million pounds.

Transitioning from a planned spiritual billboard, the Groom Texas Cross morphed into an architectural masterpiece. Standing 19 stories tall and weighing 2 ½ million pounds, the steel cross completes the landscape of Groom, Texas. Built in just eight months by over 100 welders, it stands as a testament to the power of faith and resilience. Erected in July of 1995, it continues to be the site of numerous added artworks.

I never thought it was going to end but we finally hit the Arkansas border and it was only another 45 minutes up to Bella Vista through some nice country backroads which I've missed! Annie is super freaked out because even though it's a city the homes are spaced out here and not like the cookie cutter neighborhoods in AZ. She's looking out the windows and says "All I see is trees and only 2 houses". ? I can't wait until tonight when she sees there's no street lights!:cool:

How the hell are you going to spot Bigfoot without street lights?? Realistically watch out for copperheads and cottonmouths.

Back when I was a driver I made time once to stop at the cross. I walked through all the stations surrounding the cross...it was good to do that.

Nice memory, Dave. Thanks for that!
