Citizen and wife drove away from the scene unfortunately. Citizen was eventually found , arrested, tried, and is serving a term for 'hate crime'.
Why, for hating their music? :)

Unless I force my music on others , how will they know they are wrong in their choices ?
You have a point.

Maybe I should rethink my civilities and proceed on the path of enlightenment for the greater good.

A heaping dose of "Within Attraction" is sure to bring them around.

"It's good for you! Take it!!!"

I would imagine it was because the teens apparently pulled a gun.

For the record, I turn my radio down or off when parking/backing up for exactly that reason. It is a distraction and I can't focus well with a lot of loud noise.

I have your back, @Tracy Bowman ;)
I don't listen to mine that loud anymore and don't really pay attention to the setting, I think it's set to 7-8. I do lower it to 0 before shutting the truck off. One of my pet peeves is getting into a vehicle, turning it on and being blasted by loud music.

Duh, I was joking.
My apologies.

I consider myself a connoisseur of sarcasm (having 2 sons and working IT will do that for you)

I'm feeling pretty rotten today and my sarcasm detector isn't working very well.

This is nothing new and I can relate to people not appreciating others taste in music, I remember well blaring the Doors "this is the end" back when I still lived with my parents and my father walked up the stairs and burst into my room "WTF are you listening to ? Don't play that sh*t in my house" A traumatic experience to say the least, in current times would he be prosecuted for child abuse ?

Excerpts from the song and it's another classic that rarely receives airplay, worth a listen:

"The killer awoke before dawn
He put his boots on
He took a face from the ancient gallery
And he walked on down the hall
He went into the room where his sister lived
And then he paid a visit to his brother
And then he, he walked on down the hallway
And he came to a door
And he looked inside
"Father?"
"Yes, son?"
"I want to kill you"
"Mother, I want to..."
Come on, yeah"

Jim Morrison, poet, musician, whack job, gone too soon........

When my boys were teens and prone to blasting whatever death metal they listened to ..I would make sure the radio was tuned to whatever mellow sappy or suitably offensive to them music when subjected to riding with me... When the ex ticked me off... Lights... Wipers radio blasting death metal was more called for ... Situation varies for me based on the message I was delivering

I notice on mine I can shut it off on 29 or 30 and on the next start, it's back down to a lower level; never looked but probably ~12.

Your age is showing. ?

I will have it a bit louder when driving alone.

29 or 30 ....Maybe when I was younger but now my ears would be blown out. lol Occasionally I'll hear a good song and crank it up to maybe 17 when the windows are open.

Maybe I'm getting wimpy as I get older because we use to hit every concert that came to town and stood (many were general admission back then) right in the front row. The loudest was Ted Nugent/Blackfoot! It was so loud I remember having to get off the floor because I was getting a headache. My ears are still ringing today from that one.

Hey , I just drove through the plant loading bales of cardboard with "Betty Davis Eyes " at full volume , even beeped the horn to the slappy part , and I have a few more trips to go...
