Well my wife is taking my Ranger to Denver tomorrow and for five days I'll be stuck with her crappy Infinity system in her Hyundai - the Infinity was Hyundai's premium sound system and it sounds like over baked dog turds drying in the sun compared to the B&O , but it's only 5 days and I will survive :)

I heard that song used as a sound system “warmup” at a ZZ Top concert back in 70’s. ZZ Top was awesome as always but that song is what I remember the most about that evening. Sound system folks turned it up a few decibels over concert level. Also remember seeing a dude doing an intoxicated interpretive dance to it also. Special night.
That had to be a special night, Burning Down the House didn't come out until 82 or 83. Did you see Marty McFly and Doc Brown anywhere?

Here I sit, down and broken hearted....

A couple of months back, a power surge at home knocked out part of my ancient home theatre system. 4 of 10 speakers stopped working, along with the VCR.

I finally got around to replacing the fuse in the VCR and it lit up. Reinstalled/programmed VCR and played my all time favorite tape: Highwaymen Live! The Highwaymen in Concert. Waylon, Johnny, Willie and Kris playing at the Nassau Coliseum in 1990.

Still sounded good on the remaining 6 speakers, including the subwoofer. I need to go to iTunes and put this on my phone for mobile play....

?‍♂ Ok, I was going to look up the details but grabbed the 70’s from best recollection. August 12th 1983 at Northern Star Livestage in Mecosta,Mi. 70’s & 80’s are bit blurry for me nowadays.

Can't wait to hear how In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida sounds on the B&O - but I rarely hear it these days.

Never saw talking heads perform live but IIRC correctly David Byrne still performs - multi-talented dude.

Anyone ever see the talking heads live - just curious. No reason to hold this back but I saw Blondie perform in a smaller arena in 1979, 3 rows from the stage, omg Deborah Harry was a goddess and Clem Burke awesome on drums , esp on Dreaming
Heart of Glass has always been one of my favorites.?

12 is plenty loud on my non-B&O, but then I've replaced all the factory speakers.

I didn't notice it getting any louder with better speakers, just cleaner.

But in my Jeep a volume of 12 is downright painful (2000 watt system)
10 is the max I can go on my B&O. I usually listen at 8. Yeah, 12 would probably make my ears fall off.

Any louder and it would be a huge distraction and you'd probably have a hard time parking.....Oh Wait?:lipssealed:?

A good portal into the early 80s Pop/Rock genre is the soundtrack to Giorgio Moroder's 1984 remake of the 1927 silent cult classic Metropolis.

Pat Benatar's 'Here's My Heart' still brings a tear to my eye and a swell of emotion.
