I want one, but that would mean all new everything else, turbo, intercooler, ported head, cams, etc, I bet the Mustang and the RS guys will get in line for them, maybe not, to build anything yourself through a conventional machine shop right now is a slow process, parts availability is so bad nowadays.

And I'm just dreaming, it will be awhile before I tear into my 2.3 if ever, I am curious if it has motor mount bosses that will work for our trucks?

From the article:
The kit comes with an oil pump, a chain drive, a damper, damper bolts, an oil filter, and a head gasket, which means customers can swap over all their top end components or upgrade those parts as well if more power is desired.

"Ford says that the EcoBeast short block has been tested to handle as much as 500 horsepower and 415 pound-feet of torque, providing a sturdy base for a high-power build."

TBH I can totally see some boutique shop building a Raptor killer.

Move the alternator out of the flood zone.

A redesigned rear suspension would be a big target.

Maybe, I would say more likely with a 2WD Ranger as I think some things on the Ranger 2.3 were changed for clearance of 4WD components. But, if those changed parts just mount on the front/side maybe the Ranger parts can be moved to that block. If the engine is not set up to support pulley driven fan as found in the Ranger and not able to adapt it in, may need electric fans. If the Ranger's oil pickup and pan don't work on that engine I'd guess the Ranger would lean to the Mustang pickup and pan, if they fit in the truck.

The Ranger version has several things built into the block, which the ST and Mustang do not. The question remains, is it possible? Yes! As noted, if you have the cash. But you have to draw a line someplace. That is the place I'm at, thank you!
