Just bought mine Friday and noticed the dealer had them pumped up to 45 and on board was saying recommended 30. Any reason why they do this? New to Ranger community!
I think it's primarily so that the tires don't get flat spots while sitting. They seem to come from the factory like that and the dealer should let it out, but never do. There's been talk about it, but I think the answer was the factory uses high pressure to set the beads on the tires... or, something like that.
Mine came at 40 and about shook out a kidney. 30 is much better.

Tires are overinflated during the shipping process, so as to help prevent flat spots from forming in the tire as it sits for days on end during the shipping process. It is supposed to be part of the delivery check process that the service department deflates the tires to the proper pressure.
