RP is correct. You will need Forscan in order to program a new bliss sensor. Op... Just reuse the sensor you have unless it damaged. Not only that the sensors are programed side specific as I have previously experienced. I have a thread on this from the past. Just search my threads.

Here are a few pics of my sensor drying it out from a cracked lense.

Sorry to bump this, but thought it better than starting a new thread.

I've twice had my left/rear sensor go nuts after just starting the truck, detecting something that isn't there. Both times I wiped the lens with my hand and restarted the truck and it stopped bitching.

It may just be a dirty lens, but I have a feeling this is going to continue and eventually crap out completely. It's a Lariat, LED, with Blind spot detection.

***Actually, I just realized it may be the parking sensor and not the BLIS detector. Hm, need to clean that, too.

Anyway, to the question above, how does one reprogram for a new sensor if that becomes necessary?

Basically you just need a copy of your old asbuilt file for the appropriate modules. The modules are SODL and SODR, the L is for the left module and the R is for the right module. Just write the old asbuilt file to the new module. What this does is tell the new module what your vehicle's VIN is and whether you have the tow package or not. That will let the new module communicate with your truck over CANBUS.

Or preform a new LIN Initialization, this should automatically set the VIN to the new module.
Have not used this feature yet, so unsure if it actually works.
