Horse tail coming out exhaust

Quit eating mustangs! Seriously, looks like muffler or resonater coming apart. Do you notice a change in sound from the exhaust? Has the truck been sitting for extended periods somewhere critters can get in to it? With cold weather starting up, very well could be critters trying to build a nest using materials from your truck!

Seriously, I assume this is some form of glass packing from somewhere in the exhaust , anyone else seen this?

Definitely glass packing from somewhere, havent noticed any sound change and so far no more has appeared.

Truck is well used, got it early Jan. 2019, around 76,000km on her now, no other issues so Im not very concerned at this point, appreciate everyone's input!

dug this out cuz the wife mentioned today a Lincoln where she works (title clerk multi brand dealership) had hair coming out the exhaust.

she checks out all the brands service bays on her walks

This just happened to me with my 2019 Ranger! Came out of the mall and thought someone out their hair extension in there! Lady at the service center asked if I hit an animal smh. Does anyone have recommendations on what after market system to purchase?

I have the same problem right now on my 2019, any update on whether leaving it alone caused any problems? Money is tight and I'd rather pull the hair our when it appears than replace the muffler.

Seriously, it should do no damage as the muffler is downstream of the catalytic converter, although he truck may get louder over time. there is an 8 year 100k mi emissions system warranty, maybe the muffler is covered under that?
