Seems to me that temperature has a lot to do with hood alignment as if the fenders and hood were made of different materials. Just a thought, get back to me after looking at them at different times of the day

Front fenders, hood, and tailgate are all aluminum.

It didn’t matter what time of day, or what the temperature was, the fenders had to be pulled out.

My driver's side is off a bit. How did you move the fender out?
Pop the hood and you will see 3 10 mm bolts on top of the fender. Loosen the bolts and lightly pull out fender and tighten bolts. My rearward bolt was maxed out in its hole and the fender is slightly still off but only about a 1/16,I could open up the hole but for now its much better.

The hood over hang was on both sides. The driver’s side was 1/4 inch off and the passenger’s side was 1/8 inch off. The fender bolt holes had to be enlarged. A dremel was used. The picture is after the passenger’s side was moved. The driver’s side was moved out even further.

Just pulled my fenders. Also readjusted the hood latch a bit lower lessen the gap on the hood at both sides. Had to remove the plastic trim piece at the front of the engine over the grill to adjust the hood latch down about 1/2" to eliminate the wider gap on both sides of the hood toward the front.

also consider that if the hood or fenders were expanding/contracting that much, the paint would fall off
