As a master tech. What is your early opinion on the 2.3 Ecoboost lasting 150k plus?
I see no reason why it shouldn't. I use full synthetic Motorcraft oil and filters. that's my choice, just don't use cheap filters. I got 386,000 miles out of my '94 4.0, only thing I did to that was an intake manifold gasket and timing cover gasket. And don't get greedy with the boost, although it is fun to show Taco drivers who's boss once in a while.

Hi Peter,

Ford tests to the objective of 150,000 miles of the 90th percentile customer...not your typical buyer but Oil Field service, Downtown Los Angeles delivery etc. Sage advice is to follow the recommended service interval with quality parts so as Eric states, use the good stuff.

Bought in January of 2019 and only have around 18.5k miles. Almost all of which was put on before March of this year. Since then she's been mostly a garage queen with the occasional drive to Home Depot or Dunkin.

We need to start a "Low mileage Ranger". lol Mine will be 1 year old tomorrow and I'm only at 7603.
Hi Dave,

Year and 4 months...1768 miles Probably adding 40 miles today as taking wife out for Birthday Dinner up in Tucson! We expect a heavy rain and wifelet wants to be safe in a Truck over her Nautilus.

Hi Phil,

I think you're the winner! lol ? ?

We actually hit rain on the 303 in Surprise on our way home from Flagstaff yesterday. First rain here in almost 3 months which was nice because my truck was covered in red dust from off roading in Sedona.
