Hi all,

I should prob check my owners manual for this information, but I left it in my house 300 miles away >.<

I'm wondering if the Ford Ranger has regular beams, or only high beams. I click the little headlight dile on the left side of the steering wheel twice in order to turn on the front lights, but they seem rather powerful. I'm wondering if these are the high beams that I've been driving with (green 2 light symbol turns on in cluster gauge).

If I push the blinker column forward or back I get temporary light until I let it go.

Is there a low-beam or regular option or am I doing this right?

Thank you!

Your truck might have auto-bright lights. They pretty much stay on bright until the vehicle senses another car in the light's path. You'll see the bright light symbol on your dash with a little "A" inside it if it is activated. However, the brights will not be on unless you see the blue bright light symbol on your dash as well.

If the high beams are on you should see the blue high beam indicator. Since the lights change when you pull back or push forward the turn signal stalk, I'd say they are just the low beams.

Either way, you will know if the high beams are on by the blue light.

Dec 2018 version and I can't remember is someone uploaded the April 2019 version in that thread too... but there are notes to get from owners site

What Trim level do you have? XL, XLT, LARIAT?

2 green-light symbols show headlights on and also fog lights like in lower left of the attached pic

high beam has a blue light indicator too in the center like in the attached pic
