I just bought Toyo AT-3 to replace my hankook on my FX4. Great tires but I’ve always been partial for Toyo. I didn’t get the LT version because of weight. I have the same tire size as you. They are surprisingly quiet.
Another vote here for the Toyo AT-3s. I've had them on for a few years now and they have been awesome. Great traction in snow, mud, rain and pretty quiet. They did not affect MPG much either. I hated the Hankooks honestly - the only thing they were good for was MPG, IMO.

I recently replaced the OEM Bridgestones on my 2021 Ranger with a set of Michelin Defender LTX MS2 tires. I have only put about 3K on them but I can say they are as good as or slightly better than the Bridgestones. My situation seems similar to yours....the truck is used for mostly highway driving and towing a camper. It doesn't snow where I live and I don't off-road it, except for driving the camper on the beach. I haven't had a chance to try the Michelins on the sand yet, but I would suspect they will do at least as well as the Bridgestones, which worked fine on sand....with reduced tire pressures, of course. I CAN say the Michelins are quiet, ride very well and do handle well...on wet or dry pavement. They are slightly pricier than Bridgestones, but not much. They come with a 70K " guarantee" and free road hazard from Tire Rack where I bought them. They free shipped them to a local warehouse in 2 days, and I took them to one of their "recommended" installers the next day. The Tire Rack website has many choices to offer.....and gives prices and reviews for all of them I would suggest looking at the site to get an idea of what's available and you can decide from there. Tires can be an expensive mistake if you find you don't like them after they are already mounted on the truck, so I think it pays to do a little homework beforehand to get a tire that you will be happy with.

To echo others, Michelin LTX M+S is about as it gets if most of your driving is on road. Quiet and comfortable and they are supposed to be pretty good in light snow, although I don’t have first hand experience with snow.

I have always had good luck with Michelins.
They are great in the rain, dry and even plowing snow. Quiet, handle great.

2019 XLT FX4 38K Miles BUT I tow in behind my motorhome so tires actual miles are much higher than that.

It has the black package which came with Hankook 265 60 R18 and the mounted spare is 265 65 R17.

I live in a warm climate so no snow. It has been off-road once on a beach. First and only time using 4WD.

Wants:
-Good rain traction
-Quiet and good ride
-The just-in-case security of needing 4WD in an unexpected situation.

I am also concerned about using a mismatched spare with very different tread. I will replace the spare if needed.

I am not a “tire guy” so need advice.
Just remember with Trumps tariffs, depending what country their made in.

I prefer Coopers and Michelins, and have had good experience with both. I was told Open Range, a Les Schwab brand, is a Cooper AT/3, and did go with them… so far, so good.

I hated the Hankooks that came with my Ranger.

I was trying to decide between Falken Wildpeaks or Cooper AT3's, but ended up saving some money and went with the Cooper Road & Trail AT. Tires are great in all conditions so far. I have been on very tough winter roads this year with no issues and they also are great on dry and wet roads. They may not be quite as good in mud/rocks as the Wildpeaks or a full AT tire, but handle quite well in the dirt/sand I have been on.

Kumho has the only highway terrain tire with a M/S rating that I know of. It will be my next set. I like big knobby tires but don’t get muddy enough to care. Mpg and smoothness are my priorities now. Damn middle aged mindset.

My vote is for BFG Trail Terrain, little brother to KO2's. They are M&S and 3 peak snow rated. Very quiet and gas mileage is the same as the Bridgestones. They have performed well in the rain, ice, and snow for me.
Very pleased.

I run Michelin LTX M&S, absolutely amazing tires and last for ever. Cross climate are excellent also, have those on the wife's Rav4, and man are they good in snow and rain!

Its been awhile since I was in the tire business but the Michelin LTX M&S was the best all season suv/truck tire you could buy. It was quiet, gave good traction, and lasted a long time. If on road performance is your goal, I vote LTX.

I'm digging my Cooper Road & Trail too and also like how they look.
