One of the first things I did was to make an exhaustive list of things I want to get done. There is a ton of work around the house to do that I've been putting off for years. My motto is "every day is like a Saturday" meaning I get to take my time on every little project and not try to rush things just to get done before the weekend is over.

My wife and I are spending a lot more time together. She says I'm her new BFF which is scary! A couple of weeks ago, she tried to get me to join her for a pedicure appointment ? Ah, no, that's not happening.

You have my sympathy regarding the laundry. Unfortunately I don't know what to tell you except when it comes up, say you've got a project to finish and make a b-line for the garage!

Funny story...my dad worked 40 years, NJ Zinc Co (as did his father, a cooper), hard work, burner, welder, Tinker shop. When he retired, I got him 200 business cards as a joke. A lifetime supply! After about a year, he came to me and said he needed more...I asked him "what the heck did you do with 200 business cards", being retired? He was giving them out to everybody, at home & his FL place! I had to order more? Never saw a guy so happy to have dumb business cards. Hmmm, he was divorced, maybe a lot of lady friends?
