Hankook Dynapro ATM tires

I bought a '22 Ranger Lariat FX4 about a month ago with the original Hankook tires. The tires have 42K km (26K mi) They don't "feel" like great tires, especially off road and in snow (I'll get proper winter tires next year). Do they appear to be wearing a normal rate? It seems like they're OK in the middle but around the sides they look to me like they're wearing quickly.

If I decide to replace them, any suggestions for a capable off road tire? I want to be able to pull my trailer down logging roads that can be a bit sketchy.

i have 60k on my Hankook and they look the same as yours, they aren't designed for logging roads, just everyday driving

My 2021 XLT FX4 came with the LT Dynapro 265/65/17 tires and the tag on the door frame says to run them at 38 psi.

I just replaced my Hankook tires with BF Goodrich KO2's and it was recommended by BF Goodrich that I run 38 psi because they are light truck tires with a 10-ply sidewall, which requires higher psi. If they are LT tires, and that's what the door sticker says, that's what I would run.

I have 30k still 65% tread on my Rugged Treks. Regularly rotated and run 38psi. They are wearing evenly and still pretty quite for a semi aggressice AT tire. 300% happier with the than the OEM Hankooks that were decent in snow and mostly good for milage. Sucked offroad.

I ran 32psi and rotated every 5-6k(KM)

the insides of the front got pretty choppy and the tires got loud. Had my alignment done and it wasn’t that far out to cause it. Maybe it was the 130kph in the heat…??‍

Interesting. I have a 2.5" coilover lift and Icon UCA maybe there is something to getting a better alignment with aftermarket UCA. Between the DC potholes and offroading I am really happy with Cooper Wild Treks.

They are a really good tire. Way better off road than a Duratrac of K02, I don’t care what any Bro’s have to say.. and I was very surprised at how good they were in the winter..

2 summers to go before I need new ones.
I did not like the Hankook tires in winter. We only drive on paved roads & no issues in summer(wet or dry).
I have no clue what to buy next as we plan to travel pulling a travel trailer. I don't want a pure road tire but
I don't see a full offroad tire either.

Sould always take a look at the Firestone Destination AT2. Chances are it will fit the bill.

If you want an LT tire the Firestone Transforce AT2 is a great tire. I’ve run them for years. The outside treads are a continuous Rib and last a long time. They don’t spit stones and have great gravel traction. And do t hydroplane.

Which model do you have?

My 2020 xlt 4x2 ranger had regular road tires said 35 psi on the door. It had 255 65 17s
My 2022 ranger xlt fx2 with the hancook or whatever at factory tire, says 35 on the door jamb too. Came with 265 65 17s
I put some bronco 255 75 17s on it now and i run them at 33 psi mostly.

Only mod was my taigate strut assist

my dads super cab says 30 as well… he’s got 265/60R18

the LT version from the factory which was a 200$ option is 38psi on the door sticker.

30 is right for the non-LT tires. They actually ride better a little lower than that, but Ford is still recovering from the explorer tire fiasco and recommends running them a bit high. (Inflation pressure is based on load, and the ranger just doesn't get very heavy.) LT tires run higher, in part because they're designed to be able to run as duallys so they can't mushroom as much or they'd rub. LT tires aren't required until you are running something big enough that it could carry the ranger as payload.
