I contacted Tirerack.com about the Dynapro ATM being discontinued. Their reply:

“Hankook did discontinue certain versions and sizes of the Dynapro ATM, however the Dynapro ATM RF10 the OEM tire on the 2020 Ranger, has not been discontinued, as it is a brand new vehicle I doubt that version will be discontinued anytime soon.”

In my opinion the DynaPro ATM is a great tire in that it comes on the truck stock but I don't think I would ever buy a pair for replacement. Most vehicles come with tires that aren't even close to as good as the ATM.

Maybe that is why Ford when with the ATM...they got a good deal on them to blow out the inventory. I cannot remember which vehicle it was I had, but one of them had a tire that was kinda specially built for the vehicle. It was a make and model of tire that anyone could but something about THAT version that came on the vehicle was different. Less plies maybe? I can not recall.
Had a ford escort with whatever the sport package was at the time. Blew a tire. No one stocked it and it was stupid expensive. Like $250 in the mid 90’s.

Agreed! For an OEM stock tire, the Dynapro ATM is perfectly functional. Like many forum members, I wanted to upgrade, and did so (to Wildpeaks, in my case) sooner than I had to, at around 9,000 miles, but in fairness, the Hankook OEM's never gave me any trouble, held air well, and showed hardly any wear when I took them off.

When the "Kim Chee" specials (Hankook's) on my 2020 wear out or I can no longer live with, they'll be replaced with a set of Michelins pronto.
I am of a similar mind. My '02 Sport Trac came with Michelin's and had great experience. Of the three replacement sets I had over the life I had the Trac for, 1 was a Toyo set I thought I would try and ended up being unhappy with. All the rest were Michelin's and gave great performance.

I will probable go to Michelin again when I need tires on my '19 Ranger.

I don't understand this... the Dynapro ATM is supposedly discontinued, superseded by the better quality & higher reviewed AT2, YET my 2023 Ranger XLT FX4 with 18" wheels just came with ATM's. The manufacter date on the tires is 07/2022.
The ATM's cannot be found at the Hankook website. What gives...
Why aren't we seeing the AT2's on our Rangers?

Good point. I took delivery of a new Ranger XLT FX4 May 6th that also came with AT-M’s. Seems they are still around. What happens when we go looking for a replacement is anybody’s guess.

Certain tire sizes in the ATM line have been discontinued. I just spoke with a Hankook rep and the 265/60R18 ATM (VPN 1021749) is still in production and will be sticking around for a bit.

Retail vs OEM tire. As others have said Ford has an agreement with OEM to use this tire with the trucks. Retail is different and manufactures change line-ups all the time. Its an okay tire as an OEM tire but much better options once its time to replace OE tires.
