ā23 XLT/FX4 with PPE std (oem) size pan. Monitored trans temp & many other variables before/after with plug-in OBD LinkMx+ bluetooth to CarScannerPro app on phone. The LinkMx+ stays plugged in all time (has a sleep mode so it has zero drain on batt.) I tried six diff OBD appsā¦ Car Scanner Pro...
That is a weird mix as previously saidā¦ Steering, & then discovered the bad rear diff.
(You werenāt by chance driving around on pavement with rear locker engaged were you?)
Whatever the case, no mech issues are fun with a new vehicle. My ā23 XLT/FX4 is first Ford & first new vehicle ever at age...
I have a friend down here in CO who might want this,,, but he has a Taco with 5ā bed. Iāll find out what year/model.
You have any insight whether or not it would fit snug on anything other than a Crew Ranger?
Thank You Tom!
I just went to CyanLabās site, installed Sync3 Updater, and downloading 3.4.23188 now. Easy. Thx.
Will update this comment after install to truck.
EDITā¦. Install to truck went smooth, solid update šš¼
If you look at this other thread (see pic) youāll see that 3.4.23188 is out with some positive reviews. YETā¦
I donāt get itā¦ why does Ford NOT make the updates available to everyone? Do they really push them out regionally, and in diff time waves?
Just logged inā¦ says my ā23 is current with...

Just logged inā¦ says my ā23 is current with 3.4.21194
YOU, friend to idiot me & all others reading this just solved my entire issue & likely helped othersā¦ I had the license file in the usb root rather than the SyncMyRide folder.
I'm a total dweebā¦. Sorry everyone & big THX to alcohenusa šš¼
Yep 100% sure I added the downloaded license file to the stick exactly as the instructions outlined. The missing 14G424 file is what triggers SYNC to recognize the separate license file that we have to download & copy to the usb stick.
I have SYNC 3.4.21194 and did ask about .22251 Two diff techs said, āNo, .21194 is the correct current SYNC for your truck.ā
I do find that confusing. Why would a MY23 XLT/FX4 not be using the latest SYNC version?
But the bigger question is still, why are needed files missing from in the map...
Did you get the 12GB Sync32.zip file downloaded (along with the License file) & then unzip it to see folder āSyncMyRideā and two files: auto install.lst & DONTINDX.MSA ?
Then following instructions we are to copy that folder + 2 files AND the license file onto a correctly formatted USB stick...
Sorry your truck issues, really. That bites š”
Iām down in Woodland Park with my 6ft ā23 Ranger. Interested to meet & see the setup. Will message youā¦
I don't understand this... the Dynapro ATM is supposedly discontinued, superseded by the better quality & higher reviewed AT2, YET my 2023 Ranger XLT FX4 with 18" wheels just came with ATM's. The manufacter date on the tires is 07/2022.
The ATM's cannot be found at the Hankook website. What...
