As one that has been rocking the GMRS Radios for the last few years, I will most likely have to change to the VHF/UHF Radio line due to living situations(looking to move to Canada in 2 years or so). This is all thanks to the legality of things with different countries and unfortunately Canada only allows GMRS in a 2 Watt portable version.

With that said I a looking for information on what VHF Radios are preferred for mobile use in a vehicle in the US and Canada and if anyone has found a good Radome Antenna for such? I would prefer a unit that has the display in the mic so the main body can be hidden, but I'm. Ot to familiar with these units like GMRS and CB.

The more information I can get, the better.

Yeah, GMRS and FRS up to 2 Watts but no license needed - big whoop, right? I hope you like the great outdoors and taxes - we have plenty of both.
