Sorry, I'm not digging through my own shit, or anybody elses.

I'd rather get a finger up the ass.
I think the real alternative is a camera up the ass, after taking something and shitting for 8 hours until your clean.
There no digging involved. Poke a tiny brush in it, put it in a capsule, done.

Ok, well, perhaps then.

I JUST RETURNED from the Dr.'s office , check up , this and that , actually asked If the upcoming ( ha ! ) camera procedure would count as a prostate check because they will be driving right by so why wouldn't they look on their way and she said no , I asked again why not as that seems like the perfect time but she claimed "unrelated procedure " , if your looking for cancer , it's all freaking related imo , anyway , she said they check my blood for prostate issues now instead of the fun way...

Take it seriously, my dad died from prostate cancer. I have to watch mine closely because I was a bad boy in Southeast Asia.

In 2021 My PSA began increasing which led to an MRI which led to a biopsy which led to prostate removal. Will be one year on October 26th and so far PSA is undetectable.

Get your PSA screenings. It saved me (so far). One in eight men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer at some point in their lives.

OK, since I have good news to share I will share my story - I had my 4th prostate biopsy last week - just got the results and it was negative (again). I continue to have an elevated PSA but no prostate cancer detected - my dad died from prostate cancer at 87 after it being managed for over 20 years - they told him some day the drugs would quit working and when they did, it took off like a rocket - he went from healthy to dead in about 6 months. Due to the family history, my urologist is keeping a close eye on mine.

I've been told that EVERY man, if they live long enough will get prostate cancer.

My Dad is a hypochondriac and is always getting these tests. Always thinks he has stomach cancer too. He also got more boosters than a Fast and Furious movie. I for one am not going to worry about it. Health industry will have to get their payout elsewhere and the chips will fall where they may.

First off great topic for awareness. I had prostrate cancer myself. I found by accident doing other medical tests. Went through the biopsies, was aggressive and positive. When doctor called to tell me I was on golf course. She was himhawing around. I Said "hey I am on the course so yes or no?". She said yes, I said call you later.
So then it was determined to have a full radical prostatectomy. A 4.5 hour surgery with a robot. My nerves were saved, but I needed 2 additional surgeries to "normalize" me. But at end of the day all good and there was one benefit. ??.
But most certainly man up and be smart and stay on top of this type of annual or necessary testing.
My doctor below. Hey if someone working downstairs I prefer this option.

For myself there was no symptoms. I had literally 25 years of annual physicals as a reference. My PSA was always .5 like clockwork. Well I was getting a blood test panel for something else but it included PSA. Well it came back at 2.5. So my family doctor was like that's odd considering your history. By the way this was just a couple months from last physical when it was the standard .5. So she said let's check again in 3 weeks. Now 3.5, a 3rd blood test 3 weeks later turned out a 4.5. So then she sent me to my urologist. The rest as they say is history.

Well that's the opposite of what I wanted to hear. Give me intense pain that I have to address if something is getting ready to kill me, that sneaky ninja crap isn't a fair fight...

That why so important to have a regular PSA test.

National Prostate Health Month (NPHM),
or "Proctober" is upon us guys , it's a little awkard, not gona lie , I usually require dinner and drinks to get that personal but what can ya do ? Some here may need more than one exam because some are just bigger prostates than others, get it done though ...
I just got a text from my doctor, she said, the kit is on the way, Kaiser in SoCal doesn't do the poking anymore.

Ok, think some here are confused about procedures and what they’re for. Prostate is a combo of finger up the butt to check for enlargement and pliability. Poop checks and scopes are for colon cancers or polyps that could become cancerous.

If a prostate does become cancer and then spreads it can also give you bladder cancer, colon cancer or stomach cancer.

Like I said with mine there were zero symptoms. Peed normal no discomfort or enlargement, nothing. Once biopsies were done and examined he was scrambling to get me into surgery. It was all still pretty much contained in the prostate but at anytime could potentially spread everywhere else.

As it was still needed radiation treatments because of tissue that was still cancerous left behind and showed in my PSA testing
