This is an older photo but it is a few of my Rugers. Top is a Single Six 22, bottom is a GP100 357 Mag, with 45 Colt Blackhawk bookends.

Good to know, I’m not the only Revolver guy... ?

Just a basic 1911 A1. Springfield Armory. I use this one for competing in SASS Wild Bunch matches. It is completely stock and extremely reliable.

Gun cabinet finally arrived. Putting my meager arsenal in it brought tears, as the cabinet and each weapon is a story in itself.

Jeanie bought me the cabinet new because she wanted me to have something that is all mine, and not having previously belonged to someone else. My Babydoll understands me.

Marlin .22, Jeanie gave me 20 yrs ago.
Browning Auto 5, Daddy's shotgun.
Remington 870, Daddy gave me so we could quail hunt together.
Remington Nylon 76 .22, Daddy's squirrel gun that he let me carry when we went squirrel and rabbit hunting.

I have pictures in my head even now of times we shared around these guns. This is a good thing!

I have finally gotten all the pieces together to assemble the wife's AR pistol. Cabela's had a sale on Romeo 5's. She told me to order one online to make sure we had one and when we went to pick up her lower receiver, we would swing by Cabela's to see if they still had some in the store.

So I ordered one at 5am this morning to be shipped to the store. Online it said the store was Out Of Stock. We went anyway. Low and Behold, there were at least 2 dozen in a barrel in the middle of the aisle. The wife said buy one, you will probably need it later. God I love my wife!!

I plan on putting together her pistol tomorrow night and I will share pics. I have already installed the Romeo 5 on her upper along with some back up iron sights. I like the way the Romeo MSR looks on my 16" AR rifle. The R5 fits her pistol better. The other R5 will probably go on my 10.5" pistol later (her pistol is a 7.5")

We had a 24" target set at 550 yards. Piece of cake for this rig. Chambered for 5.56.

Battlefield pickup I built. ISIS carved stock and sling were captured in Iraq. 1964 Romanian parts kit built on a custom receiver.

A few underfolders and a Romanian G rifle I built from kits.

More Romanian G rifle kit builds.

M92 Krink build (7.62x39). This is an NFA stamped gun. The furniture has now been refinished and is a deep red. Also, these rifles were originally underfolders, but I had a custom sidefolder receiver made for this build.

Bulgarian Krink build (5.45x39). Another NFA stamped gun. The furniture has now been replaced with AK 100 series black plastic.

I guess you could say that I like the AK platform.

Finally put the wife's AR pistol together. Damn thing gave me a fit with the Bolt Catch roll pin. Just didn't want to get started, but I prevailed after a few choice words LOL! It is a 7.5" BCA Complete upper/Anderson Lower/LPK and Buffer tube kit from Outdoor Sports USA/Polymer Backup sights/Magwell grip and a Romeo 5. Won't be able to shoot for a couple more weeks but will let ya know how she likes it.

Looks good Doug! The BC pin can be a PITA sometimes,I usually put a drop of oil on it and along with a few choice words that seems to work. lol I'm interested to see how she likes the padded buffer tube? I have one on my 9mm AR and love it but wasn't sure if it would rattle my teeth on a .223?

Thanks! I am not sure with a .223 either. I will shoot it first to sight it in and give her an idea of how it feels. Then probably swap over to the .22LR conversion for her to shoot it to begin with to get used to it. Was going over the characteristics/operation of the different functions and relating it to how it compares to her Glock 43. Also explaining the red dot and how it functions. The buffer spring is kinda heavy for her and I may get a lighter one for her to use later as it will probably be .22LR most of the time.

Forgive my ignorance....
Why the buffer tube?
The tube that comes out the back of the lower receiver that has the foam pad attached to it. Inside the tube there's a spring and a buffer that's weighted. It helps cycle the bolt to push the round out.

Why not a regular stock on it?
That looks like it would hurt even with the pad.

I chose just using the buffer tube as the ATF is looking to make a pistol with a brace a SBR or AOW making them a NFA item. And I will be damned if I will become a felon or pay the $200 tax stamp right now.

I have several different ones so I wanted to change mine up a bit. Most of mine have a regular 5 position brace on them like this one. This brace will absorb a lot of the recoil and be more comfortable.
