Didnt the guvment just use some broad evergreen classification (whatever that is) so that gunn manufacturers can't modify a weapon to beat the mysterious "assault style" description?
Its only the scary looking gunns that are bad, lets forget they don't function unless some psychopath pulls the trigger.
Can we deal with the psychos first? seems like the smart thing to do.

I was reading an article today about one of the Poly Suivant survivors and their disgust with the push back on this latest banning spree.
While it is sad and tragic that they had to endure that horror many many years ago, there have been so few similar instances in Canada to warrant the changes they seek.
Yes, south of the border it is rampant, but you cannot compare the two countries at all on this.
I believe our gun laws are adequate. The problem lies in the application of said laws when dealing with those that don't follow them.

I’m expecting Justin to rise in the HOC tomorrow to introduce another C-21 amendment banning any municipally operated motorized wheeled conveyance capable of holding more than 5 citizens, commonly referred to as a “bus”.

How is it a “buyback”?? The government did not sell these rifles. They cannot say “Oh, we’ll return your cash if you return your rifle”. This is taxpayer money being blatantly wasted again.
Remember the last time this was tried? Millions ballooned to billions.
I hope other provinces follow Alberta’s lead in resisting this boondoggle.

Canada has adequate gun control.
What we lack is resources to eliminate illegal weapons and a justice system with teeth.
Spend the taxpayers money on those.

I'd be happy to pay more taxes to eliminate illegal guns and punish those who break the law.
I'm not happy to pay more taxes to take something away from people who aren't breaking the law.
