Plenty of gas around metro Atlanta. Prices are a bit high. The pipeline is supposed to be back up by this weekend and it'll be a few daysbafter that for supply to return to equilibrium, or so I've heard.

Yeah, I'm on the East Coast, too. I will keep my tuned engine on 93 for the time being, depending on availability and kinds of gas being sold. Hopefully, this is just a one-off event. I usually try to keep the tank full or close to it so no worries yet. I have a good bit of driving to do today and will try to fill it up if possible.Being on the East coast, I'm thinking I'll want to reload my 87 livernois tune due to gas shortages. Who's in the same boat?
They are Steven. It's one of those fire it back up in stages things. Hopefully they will have it back on line soon. Like Dave said, the news media never lets a good crisis go to waste. Just like last year, if the panic buyers would act like they had some sense, everyone would be fine until it's up and running.I thought I heard the pipeline would be up and running by the weekend. I am on the west coast so I can only go by what I hear. I saw the lines on the news and laughed because it reminded me of the toilet paper crisis last year.
Jim, you just answered your own question there...."act like they had any sense".They are Steven. It's one of those fire it back up in stages things. Hopefully they will have it back on line soon. True, common sense isn't so common anymore.Jim, you just answered your own question there...."act like they had any sense".Stupidity had now taken over common sense for way to many people out there which has become more evident this past 18 months. .

my buddy went to Charlotte NC for a job this week. I text him on the way to fill up in Va because of shortages in NC. He text me this morning all the stations he's been by are out. He said it's people hoarding, filling large containers. If all the states affected do like NC and waive gas regulations, you will not be able to ensure the quality of gas you get, so you may think you are pumping 93 and are instead pumping 87 or worse. If you live in the affected states, then I'd back off on the tune for a while. Either to 87 or stock.
I'm going to laugh at all the idiots filling up huge drums with gas. Besides being a hazard storing this at their house if they don't use it up and at least add some Sta-Bil for it they're going to have a large drum of watered down fuel.I haven't stopped to fill up this week, but the news is saying the only thing left is hi-test. The pipeline seems to be back up, so hopefully this sorts out quickly.

The sad part is these same people are going to reproduce! We all know the apple won't fall far from the tree.A friend shared this with me today. Not sure where it is but apparently the US Comsumet Profict Safety Commission had to issue a warning for people to not do this. People please use that thing between your ears. There is a reason we are born with brains not rocks in our head. ?

As a college professor, I have some hope I can change this type of stupidity with my students. It is a small hope but it is hope nonetheless. ?The sad part is these same people are going to reproduce! We all know the apple won't fall far from the tree.![]()
