  1. Cordless Tool Recommendations

I like my Milwaukee cordless tools a LOT. They're a bit more expensive, so I usually look for sales or buy them refurbished from CPO Tools. I have a drill, hammer drill, two 1/4" impacts, a Sawzall, and an oscillating multi-tool. Trimmer, edger, and blower are next. I have a relative that...
  2. Your Age-Your First Ford-What You Learned To Drive On-Your Rangers Year!

I'm 49. My first car and first Ford was a 1985 Escort I got as a hand-me-down from my sister. I learned to drive with that car and with my dad's 1983 Ranger (4x4, manual trans). I've also had a 1993 T-bird Super Coupe (manual trans) and a 1988 Bronco (351 Auto). Current ride is a 1998 Ranger...
  3. Windshield - Off gas

I've been using Invisible Glass for years. For scrubbing down the worst gunk, I use a cheap, plastic sponge (not a Scotchbrite pad or anything like that) that I use for cleaning dishes. Then I follow up with paper towels. I use this technique to clean my dad's truck windows, and he smokes...
  4. Spied: 2023 Ranger Front End Revealed!

It looks pretty good to me. My hope is for a manual option and more comfortable back seats; the front end design definitely takes a back seat to those two items. If you're worried about it looking like the F-150, by the time it comes out the F-150 will look completely different...
  5. Ford Bronco having severe roof problems...

Hmm. Ford buys out Webasto, takes their tooling and technology as their own, and shuts down top production for the Wrangler.
  6. Ashamed!

That's me and biking through the trails early in the morning. My buddy always asks me to ride lead to clear the webs. Dang arachnophobe.
  7. Ford Maverick Pickup Officially Revealed: $20k MSRP, 40MPG, Hybrid Standard

My last one was 14 pallets stacked in the back of my 1998 Ranger. It was probably 3 feet taller than the cab. Talk about tailgater-prevention. A cop eyeballed me but thankfully just shook his head.
  8. Ashamed!

That would take all of about 12 hours in my garage. :)
  9. Ford Maverick Pickup Officially Revealed: $20k MSRP, 40MPG, Hybrid Standard

You haven't seen how creative I can get with a few ratchet straps... :)
  10. Guess I'm loading up my 87 tune..

All five gas stations I pass by on the way to work are out of gasoline., three others on a side-road near work are also out, and I've heard of about a dozen more that are bone dry. I filled up Monday afternoon when I was down to 1/8th tank, and there didn't seem to be a rush. Yesterday, there...
  11. 2021 Ranger

As another poster said...buy what you want. There will always be another opportunity. Unless you're like me, of course, and you're hoping for manual transmission availability in the new platform. I can't imagine getting what I want, though.
  12. No parts available

I hope that you can get a resolution by getting the truck totaled. With my insurance company and most companies in my state, $21,000.00 in damage would total a vehicle valued at $84,000. Your truck will have continuing issues for the entire time you own it if you're forced to repair it. I...
  13. Bronco to Ranger Features

A 6-speed version of that trans would be great. I'm sure I'll never see it on the 2.7EB, but the 2.3EB has plenty of power for me. Pre-wired accessory switches would be good, too.
  14. Differences in Octane

Years before the ethanol mandate I remember reading an article in one of the big three car mags about this. (I'm not sure how ethanol affects mileage across octane ratings). Lower octane gas generally has more energy per gallon, so an engine could theoretically get better mileage, because it...
  15. I might have to sell the Ranger

I just hope it's true that the new Ranger frame is based on the Bronco's and we get away from being limited to the four-banger. It's a great engine, but the rumored 2.7EB and a manual trans from the Bronco would be great in a Ranger. I can't do without a bed.
  16. Screwed out of my 42,000 Ford Reward Points by Ford

If it's the dealer's fault buy another Ford at another dealer. $210 isn't much to argue over if you really want another Ford down the road. Just make sure you drive to the crappy dealer with your next new Ford and show them what they missed.
