I’ve been driving into the office on day a week, maybe putting 100 miles on my truck each week.

Just noticed how small that rear side window is. Do the seats lay back or does the door panel block your view?

I traded the Ranger today for a Tundra. I got what I paid for the Ranger and walked away with a lot more truck. This forum has been fun, I hope the Tundra forums are as good.
Get outta here! Move Along! There's the door!!!!

All the best, hope it all works out :)

I don’t follow. The door doesn’t block my view.

Congrats man. The tundra is a bad ass truck. The most reliable truck (gas engine) period IMO. Post a pic if you can. I just hope it’s not your daily though, and if it is I hope you don’t have a long drive to and from work. My two best friends traded theirs in a year in after the honeymoon phase was over and realized how much they were spending in gas.
Compare to what? We’re talking $5-$10 a week more in gas tops.

Very nice truck!

I would have chosen a 3.5L EB F-150 with 360 camera and Co-Pilot Assist 2.0 (ones that has Lane Center). I wish the Rangers came with it and the 2022 Ranger probably will come with it since Maverick has it. My 2017 Honda Accord Hybrid has it and it works good.

Enjoy your truck.

Oh yeah.. that's right. I saw that picture from a friend's FB post. Toyota is also copying Ford' s 3.5L ecoboost on that truck.

Can’t blame you for the swap. Folks are right: Tundras are pretty hard to beat, ‘cept for the V-8 gas mileage. My family’s pretty divided on the issue; we have 2 Rangers & 2 Tundras!

100 miles a week

$3 a gallon (NH prices)

15 mpg tundra 6.6 gallons

23 mpg ranger 4.3 gallons

$6.6 a week, $40 a month

More truck for $40 a month

If he keeps to 100 miles a week and gets the truck he needs/wants for $40 more a month($480 a year) that’s not shabby. Enjoy man, I know the Toyota forums won’t be as fun. :sunglasses:

Edit: Well, and the 10k+ he paid more to upgrade.

I’ve been getting 19 in the Ranger, I haven’t filled up yet in the Tundra (38 gallon tank) but the dash says 19.9. Granted, the Ranger dash said 22.3.
I financed the same amount as the Ranger after trade, so $10k is a fair upgrade cost.

Agreed it’s a fair upgrade cost. If you get less than the stated average MPG then you either drive heavier, your route/usual traffic leads you to not sustain the stated MPG, different gasoline blends etc etc.

And of course, it’s a new mpg gauge, I wouldn’t trust it until I put in 1k+ miles or if I took a long road trip 300 miles+ after resetting, even then the computers aren’t even as close as to pen and paper.

But my math was just going off the avg factory tested mpg off the lot(which usually results in perfect conditions to be able to sell a better value) so we generally get less mpg unless you have a pre 2016 diesel Volkswagen(haha mpg scandal) :giggle:

Again, nice truck. But for me personally with the way I’d drive I wouldn’t enjoy my 8-10mpg:LOL:
