Phil, you are a very wise and humble man. Your presence here has been enjoyed and appreciated by me and so many others. I truly understand that family comes first, but we still want you to stop by once in a while. Life is a journey and we are all on it at different steps in time. I for one have been honored to know you and enjoyed your wisdom and life experience. I wish you and your family all the best.

Hi Folks,

There is an old saying at Ford...."There comes time in every program where you have to shoot the engineer and start production" There are decisions one must make in life as we get older...Family matters, health etc. So with much weighing of my point in life, It is time for me to say good bye to the 5G forums and fade into the woodwork. I simply cannot at this juncture spend the time it takes to read every forum post and for those posts, where I can contribute, respond. My life requires refocusing on other priorities.

So I am saying good bye to all forum members and wish all of you the best, happy motoring and good luck! It has been a good ride for me, but time that I move on.

I will lurk on these forums for a while as time permits, but my participation will be limited.

Best,
Phil Schilke

Phil, it has been an honor. You have kept us grounded and put on the path of truth more times than want to count….enjoy, it’s much deserved.

When I was a new guy your posts stood as something that should always be read. Tons of info my friend. Enjoy what's next.
It's nice to know when it's time to move on. Best of luck.

Thanks for the great stories Phil! Much appreciated! I think my favorite was the one where you met and worked with one of the ZZ top guys and their crew.

Completely understand the need to back away from participation though. It can get to be a full time job and then can start to feel like work. I've been there myself.

Phil, from myself & my Margie I whish you & your Margie the best. Your back stories were a wealth of knowledge & will be missed, but yes times change & we must change with them. We all have different circumstances in life that make us do what we have to do but that makes us all better for it in the end. Best of luck.
