This interaction is so rare on the internet, there is hope for this world after all
[Edited bc I just noticed my phone keeps duplicating some of the stuff… It’s time for a new one]

For anybody who feels TL; DR, the summary is that the people on here seem to be the exception. So many have their online persona which is full of toxicity and then they have their public and realistic persona. Generally speaking, I get the impression that people on here just act themselves and don’t have two versions. I also think they are here for the right reasons and thrive on learning and enjoying this hobby, versus taking other others down to feel superior!! So I’m hopeful as well and it’s very possible to spread this kind of message!

I should just leave it at that but here’s the detailed version (I am so sorry about the voice to text… Otherwise I would never be so thorough/wordy)

I am so glad you pointed that out, because I realize that I feel the same way! It’s a good thing to bring that to everyone’s attention because it’s absolutely the right direction!

That begs the question, why do so many people out there feel the need to have a completely different Internet personal; one that seems to lack empathy and thrive on controversy/disagreement/and personal insults (which always seem to show up quite quickly and is the standard weapon for so many).

I get to wondering why people go this route, as I would feel incredibly guilty!

But then I realize that Controversy, arguments, gossip, and just all of that toxic shit is flat out pushed onto us from every direction by the media and Corporations, along with this bizarre idea of influencers! So there’s something much bigger at play.

For what it’s worth, I just wanna thank everyone for being helpful, constructive, and good natured! It feels like that’s the core of What this particular message board is all about.

That’s why I agree and I am also optimistic!

Thanks for the patience and maybe now it truly is time to forgo the sentimental stuff.

Unfortunately, controversy, arguments, gossip, and all of that toxic shit is pushed on us by the media and corporations. It simply drives more traffic, so there’s something bigger at play here.

For what it’s worth, I just wanna thank everyone for being helpful, constructive, and good natured! It feels like that’s the core of What this particular message board is all about.

For what it’s worth, I’ve learned more on here than my smart home forums, Mustang forms back in the day, and side-by-side (specifically Polaris RZR) forums! I’ve also appreciated the times where people go out on a limb, knowing that reactions can be incredibly negative and disproportionately so, yet they go for it and it worked out, because it was so obvious that they intended to help… I didn’t have to keep spelling something that I consistently referred to, and doing so over and over again!

The comment about being hopeful, and the experiences listed above make me thankful and also hopeful that it doesn’t have to be that way, so it could be positive!

That’s why I agree and I am also optimistic!

Nope still the same sarcastic ass hole in the real world.

Not sure you should listen to me. =D

I mean I've added about $6K in mods to a base XL and I think this is the best one:

And I also think my dump run videos are gonna make me a zillionaire influencer! $$$

Crank up the sound and let's show the Cardorkians that the Ranger Crew's in town! =p

$6k in mods? You must get 35 mpg!! ?

Well, crud ... since @got3fords is our official good speller, maybe you can settle this one:

damper versus dampener

Regardless of which one is approved, we all know that those lucky enough to have one have more HP, stronger babe magnetism, and a simply soupierior Ranger! =p

1744224640484-jc.jpg
I'll let Soupierior slide. I'll just quote Google Gemini.
In summary, while there's a technical basis for "dampener" being something that "dampens," "damper" has a longer history and broader usage across different fields. In many practical situations, especially when discussing vibration reduction, the terms are used interchangeably. If you want to be slightly more precise, you might reserve "dampener" for things that reduce intensity or vibration specifically.
Which one should you use?
  • In most technical contexts (like engineering and mechanics), damper is the more traditional and often preferred term, especially for shock absorbers and flow regulators."

So putting a damper on your bedroom game would be bad.

Pretty sure I just won the internet argument for not putting a damper on the tailgate/bed area of your truck.

You act like that’s a bad thing!!!?

Dereku, I need to apologize because I’m afraid I have enjoyed your presence the entire time! I’m treading lightly, because I know you don’t wanna hear that lol.

Also, that just means that you’re not the lunatic with two different personas… You keep it real and you keep it consistent!

Sarcastic assholes are THE ABSOLUTE BEST qualities! ?. (and sarcasm is an art form and should be appreciated/treated as such, when done masterly!!)

I can certainly be a shithead, but I never wanna tear someone down! I’m definitely foul mouthed, and I hold back a lot on the language!!

Wait you said the same paragraph twice? Was that both of your personas agreeing with each other. ?

Thanks for appreciating it. Just having some fun. And when I see your name I just think of Alan Jacksons Laid back low key.

That’s freaking classic!

I don’t know if you saw my other post but my damn cell phone keeps putting duplicate posts, but it does it in a delayed fashion and I miss it.

I’ve already had to delete so many duplicates! I swear, on the iPhone is ready to be replaced, it does the most bizarre things. It’s also different for every failing phone I’ve had!!! Agghhhhhhhh!!!!

That’s my official story… But yes, my multiple personas aren’t a problem for me because they make quite the great team as they have the same philosophy and weird enough, use pretty much the same language… Dang I’m weird… Both of me?

Keep having fun! I know I do! I mean why the hell not?! That was perfect material… The way I see it, you had no choice but to make that comment. I respect that and I would do the same!

That’s funny, I haven’t thought about the song! I don’t know why I chose the name but it just came to my head so I went with it. It was especially easy with both personas that it was decent.?

I usually lose or destroy my phones long before they start failing. That's why I buy cheap refurbished or slightly outdated Android phones.

Tons of them on Ebay for $20 +/-. They're Boomba knockoffs.

LOL, the sewing machine sound of our engines kind of negate the cool factor of the wooshing - sounds like an air leak. =D

me: honey, did you start the truck? / Kate: no, I'm sewing!

Lol that is going to now ruin me because now all I’m gonna hear is the sewing machine similarity?.

wow, that sounds great to me (minus the textile portion) and a little more aggressive than mine for sure!

What else are you running on the intake portion? It seems to draw air so quickly and easily! I feel like mine still has more restrictions and need to charge pipes and ‘intercooler’ ?!

is it just me or does your truck seem to be pretty optimal as far as air delivery and quickness of spooling?

I truly do like that :)

Solid strategy!

I have a drawer in my home office full of phones with just screens that are demolished! So I’m actually surprised I’ve made it this far!!
