[Edited bc I just noticed my phone keeps duplicating some of the stuff… It’s time for a new one]This interaction is so rare on the internet, there is hope for this world after all
For anybody who feels TL; DR, the summary is that the people on here seem to be the exception. So many have their online persona which is full of toxicity and then they have their public and realistic persona. Generally speaking, I get the impression that people on here just act themselves and don’t have two versions. I also think they are here for the right reasons and thrive on learning and enjoying this hobby, versus taking other others down to feel superior!! So I’m hopeful as well and it’s very possible to spread this kind of message!
I should just leave it at that but here’s the detailed version (I am so sorry about the voice to text… Otherwise I would never be so thorough/wordy)
I am so glad you pointed that out, because I realize that I feel the same way! It’s a good thing to bring that to everyone’s attention because it’s absolutely the right direction!
That begs the question, why do so many people out there feel the need to have a completely different Internet personal; one that seems to lack empathy and thrive on controversy/disagreement/and personal insults (which always seem to show up quite quickly and is the standard weapon for so many).
I get to wondering why people go this route, as I would feel incredibly guilty!
But then I realize that Controversy, arguments, gossip, and just all of that toxic shit is flat out pushed onto us from every direction by the media and Corporations, along with this bizarre idea of influencers! So there’s something much bigger at play.
For what it’s worth, I just wanna thank everyone for being helpful, constructive, and good natured! It feels like that’s the core of What this particular message board is all about.
That’s why I agree and I am also optimistic!
Thanks for the patience and maybe now it truly is time to forgo the sentimental stuff.
