Love my Napoleon grill as well. I swear my propane usage dropped in half when I got rid of the old Char Broil. The firebox of the Napoleon is very easy to clean.

I grill a couple three times a week, nothing big like a roast or brisket, and 2, 20lb tanks last me April-Oct and the odd day or two in Feb & March. and that's on my Rogue 425.

It's good idea to have a fuel gauge and a full spare tank on hand. Up here in the north (down south for you guys cooking back bacon), the propane has a harder time vaporizing in the cold, and it's a good idea to store the tank in the warmest safe place. If doing frequent grilling, or grilling a marathon 8lb of chicken wings for a hockey game, have two full tanks ready. The propane won't vaporize enough to keep a good pressure after an hour+ depending on the ambient temp, and you can switch tanks; the fuller the better in the cold.

We still loving the BlackStone , i hooked it up to natural gas ,so no propane tank ( Hank Hill would NOT be happy) one downside is I noticed the doggos licking around the back of it , my little overflow bucket has already overflowed with yuk and dammit, so I got I mess to clean up ...and grille scrapings and all the grease and grime that go with it can be quite the challange ...

I also have a spare tank I acquired somehow years ago. Nothing worse than running out mid cook and having to bring it all inside to finish it.
I have a mostly unused big tank we used to use for the gas logs a lot, I don't know the capacity 300 gallons maybe? But it is clear on the other side of the house. Been thinking about seeing if they could somehow run a line to the deck on the other side.

Get some disposable grease trays. They come in a variety of sizes and sure make cleanup easier. I have some for my Napoleon and my sone got some for his Blackstone. Ace Hardware carry some and so do the other big box home stores. You can use a flat nose spatula or one of those fancy commercial grill scrapers to guide the grease over to the drop area.

Cleaning off the cooking surface each time will also improve the taste of the food; no burger-tasting chicken or vice-versa.

I have a catch tray that leads down to a small bucket that sits on the deck under the grille, came with aluminum inserts to make it easy, but that's out the window once it overflows...

I just wrap some aluminum foil inside the grease tray. Then you can just fold it up and throw it away when it gets dirty and add more. Hey, it's the Polish in me always looking for a way to save a buck, or two. ?

I think I found the best way to make pizza on the grill. Use a pizza stone and make sure it heats up with the grill. I have tried with mixed results, putting the pizza directly on the grill. But last night I tried the stone method and the crust came out perfectly.

I just used the grill for the second time today and the chicken came out much better. The first couple times with a new grill there's usually a learning curve on heat & time but these came out perfect. One thing is this does cook a lot faster than my huge drop in grill I had at more than half the price too.

That's a bigger cooking area than I had imagined, unless those are squirrel filets!

After dinner, you should start working on a damper for the lid. ?

It does have a nice size cooking area and that was just over 5lbs of chicken.

 Why didn't I think of that!
