First of all, let's address y'all taking your trucks through car washes.

When I lived in a condo I didn't have a choice. Condo rules stated no vehicle washing on the premises. Many apartment livers don't have a choice.


I bought a house an now I'm just lazy an use the lazer wash.

In other news, I pressure wash the inside of my fill door. I've never had any issues.

As long as you're not shoving the nozzle inches from the full inlet and letting loose with 2500 psi, you're probably going to be ok.

Hey there! I use a soap cannon and rinse with a 40 degree tip on an Active 2.0 pressure washer. I open the fuel door and blast away, usually without the locking cap on. As Jhbryaniv said, just don't stick the tip in the filler hole and it's okay.

I do have the very overpriced cap and it's fiddly for me to lock it on. I don't use it when I'm home.
