What is walnut blast?
I’m at 148,000 already.
148K? Dang! What issues have you had, any trans issues? I'm just over 71K on my '21.

I do believe that the BG stuff does contain PEA, but as memory serves, it is stupid expensive compared to the alternates.

One run of Techron just before your oil change is plenty.
What is the correlation of a fuel additive and an oil change? Or is it just a mileage thing?

PEA tends to wash some crud down into the oil, so it is best to get it out with an oil change. Not absolutely essential, but it is a good idea. Some people have had UOA's come back with slightly increased wear and lead after a run of Techron and Chevron themselves say not to use it more than twice between oil changes...or at least used to. Looking for that info now.

Plus it is a good time-scale to work on.

I have not had the first issue, I mean it has performed absolutely flawless to this point. Trans flush at 90k, plugs at 60 and 120, all underneath fluids changed once, brake system flush twice, oil change every 5k, belts at 100k, Bilstein coil overs at around 84k, one battery, four sets of tires thus far, and other minor stuff. Probably overkill but like I say, it looks and runs as good at 148k as it did when I drove it off the lot with seven miles on it.

Helps Fords bottom line.
They used to offer it to me at every oil change.
I kinda figured that as well.
I ordered some from scamazon because I don’t trust some of these backwoods gas stations around here. I usually try to buy from the higher turnover stations when I get into town. My new car buying days are over so I gotta make this one last. So far so good.

Is anyone using the 44K fuel additive that the dealer recommends?
I like Techron for regular use.

I use Pri-G for gas storage, supposedly keeps for five years.

And I use Stabil for small engine winter prep, like for my 30 HP outboard.

I use Stabil after watching Project Farm's video and what other additives do to the pot metal that carbs are usually made from:

Doesn’t help Ford’s bottom line at all. Most shops push BG. Why? It works pretty good and the techs get a spiff from BG.

Interesting.
It helps SOMEBODY'S bottom line, then.
Back when I asked the service tech about the necessity of it she said it wouldn't hurt to not do it, so I don't.

I've heard that if you use top tier fuel, Exxon, Shell, Chevron, Texaco, you don't need additives because those fuels already have it to keep injectors clean.
