Get it looked at. Mine was giving me shifting issues about this time last year, and I got the transmission replaced in February of this year due to the torque converter going out. At worst, you're out the diagnostic fee. At best, you get a new covered, transmission.

That’s what I plan on doing. I have an appointment on October 13 to be looked at I do have the extended warranty with a $200 deductible.

2019 Ranger 109,000 miles with extended warranty until Nov 2025. Have appt for Oct 13th. Still shifts ok but under light throttle feels like I’m driving over small rumble strips. My son is a GM A Tech and said it’s most likely the torque converter. We shall see! Transmission fluid has been changed 2 times since new. Most recently at 85k. My son works for a GM dealer that also owns the Ford dealer and is right next store to them so hopefully they won’t give me the run around.
I just took delivery of a 2021 with 24k miles on it today and mine has the exact same feeling when accelerating.

Ugh! I hope it’s an easy fix for you. To be honest, my truck has be awesome for the 109,000 miles that I’ve had it, until this issue.

Update: truck diagnosed yesterday. Tech said there’s definitely a torque concerto issue. Said he can replace it but feels like it will be a band-aid. He wrote it up to have warranty cover the TSB transmission work done. Going back on the 28th.
Granted it wasn’t horrible to drive at all but my extended warranty runs out in November. Hoping with the TSB done and torque converter I’ll be good for a while!

I was getting the same symptoms at lower speeds. Replaced the DPFE sensor, now I'm getting the jerking at higher speeds 60mph - 90mph. Frustrating!!

Neither was mine, but trust me, you do not want to pay out of pocket when you are forced to replace it instead of doing it on your terms. Mine would have cost $7,100 without my extended warranty

Update: They ended up doing a full rebuild of the transmission. I picked up the truck Friday night and so far it’s driving and shifting great! All gears are smooth. Mine wasn’t that bad to begin with but they did find some burned discs. Thankfully I had an extended Ford warranty only cost me $212.00.

The “wasn’t that bad to begin with “ speaks volumes. I wonder how many ticking time bombs are really out there.

Yeah I was getting occasional clunky shifting but my torque converter was definitely going. I probably could have kept going for awhile but my extended warranty was expiring. Luckily I have a dealership that was good and worked with my and the warranty time period.
