Went by the Ford dealer near me and they had at least 100 pickups and as many Explorers. Catch is the pickups were all F250s and F350s with minimal options. The Explorers all looked like Police package vehicles.
Probably fleet orders that haven't been picked up yet.

Has anyone received a flyer like this? My dealer sent me an upgrade program flyer telling me their interested in my truck and offering 20% over book. Can this be true? I know there’s probably no inventory to choose from but my goodness I’d be letting it go for more than what I paid for it three years later.. What do they use to determine book value? I used Kelly Blue book for giggles, private party and trade. Private party is what I paid for the truck, now add 20% its very tempting. Even trade in with 20% would put me a couple thousand ahead. What am I missing here.. The “UP” to 20% is probably the catch! Thanks

Wouldn't you be paying a blown up price for a new one? Ifs from a dealer and that is usually similar to click bait! Its eye candy to get you down there. I have problems trusting car dealers. Not saying you wouldn't make out, I'm just leary of car ads

REALITY Check - I JUST traded 2 weeks ago my 2019 XLT 302A Lux package for a 2022 F150 Lariat MSRP at 61+K that I ordered back in January 2022 under the X plan and rec'd the equivalent of $42,745K trade in $39,000 + $3745 taxes savings of no sales tax So, Yes it made sense to me to take advantage of upgrading to a 3 year newer and more elegant vehicle for not much more money out of pocket for exactly the way I wanted it. KBB is what I tracked and made arguments for in my negotiating. It is not a given that they will abide by that. They also want to get your trade for as little as they have to pay. Price is decided on many different things that they use in their favor.

The other day a friend of mine asked me if I was interested in selling my truck to his son that is returning from service in the Army. It kind of tugged at my heart strings for a moment and I said let me think about it.

After running over the scenarios with getting a new truck and losing all the features and upgrades on my 2019 Ranger I told him sorry I can’t do it.

I have never owned a vehicle that lost things from older models. They were always some upgrade, engine, body style, sound system…… The only truck I would trade for is a Ranger Raptor and it looks like they will be too expensive or too hard to find.
I plan on letting a year or two go by and then I'll order a Ranger Raptor from Granger. I'm guessing it'll be 2025 or so.

Good choice on keeping it Rich. I agree it's more of a downgrade as we'd be losing way to many things going from a 2019 to a present one.

I'm still torn between the Ranger Raptor and the PHEV Ranger. I might just order both and see which one comes in first. It'll probably take a good 12-18 months anyways so it won't be a first year run. Right Tony @tgRanger? ??
PHEV Ranger?!?!? I want one! Would even do the CrewCab instead of the SuperCab if that was the ONLY way to get it. BUT - If Ford is trolling here and cares, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE build the PHEV and/or Fully Electric Ranger is a SuperCab. Some of us like hauling stuff more than people. :sunglasses: ;)

a couple weeks ago I traded my 2021 in on an F150. I received $3K more on trade than I paid. Plus got X plan on the new F150 Lariat 502 pack plus some other options. someone had special ordered the F150 but did not want it once it came in so I jumped on it.
Since it was ordered more than 6 months ago the price on sticker did not reflect about $3K in price increases. Plus if I was to order that truck it would be a 2023 which might be an additional $3K over what the current 2022 prices are.
All and all I got some options that I would not have bought if I special ordered (like the 3.5L and the 502 package but nobody ever walks away from 400hp/500 torque :) ).
I just returned from a 2500 mile trip, 25mph @ 70-75mph. :)

My local ford dealer has more Jeep Gladiators on the lot than Rangers.

While If I could find an F-150 with a great tow package, I bet I can't and I bought the ranger for towing.

though looking they do have a forest splash edition on hand. though, with FX4 package, and auto start stop removed. so 2 negatives.

I took my dealership up on the offer. Have a new ranger on order. Build date on aug 8, so ill be expecting it by november.
Problem is, my ranger will be 2 years closer to being paid off. So here we go starting all over again. But....only if my payment can go down by at least 100 dollars. If not, they have a new ranger to sell, which will sell quickly. And i still have my ranger.

Be sure to check your Ford Pass app.
When I went to trade mine for a newer model I found a discount inside the app that the dealer honored without even blinking. $1500 I think it was at the time. And I got 0% financing.
I hope you're able to swing it! Good luck.
