Well is Colorado really full ? Not according to our honorable gov's land bill use which would force municipalities to rezone single home parcels and developments into high density housing. If it passes we might be able to surpass the golden state in population. Maybe we'll even get to see the I-70 mountain corridor lined with high rises, I imagine a top floor dwelling will be in demand for those who enjoys watching wrecks and traffic jams. And yes this is apparently some folks perception of progress.

After reading through this thread it got me kinda worried about having the same problem and how to prevent it, so I went to check out my engine to see if I had said cover before buying one for $200. It looks like my truck has the appropriate engine cover you guys are referring too, correct ?

Cool thanks for the response, and is the consensus that this cover is an adequate solution to the water in spark plug problem ? Or is there more that should be done ? I don’t get much rain in the sunny Mojave desert but I do get plenty of dust causing frequent car washes to occur!

@760magneticranger What I'm aware of is there is a TSB for this from Ford and the "official" fix from them is to add the cover. I'd imagine you and I (I'm other side of the Mojave,) have to worry about this issue the least out of our brethren!

I read this linked article regards the sand creek massacre, now realize the connection to renaming Mt Evans - last I heard on that was that the proposed name "Mt Blue Sky" I believe was offensive to some other native american tribe, name it anything but Mt. Polis and I'm ok.

not to change the ops thread topic but about the engine cover - the more i look at it it seems like water could also run down to the plugs from where the oil cut out is. anyone that has the cover educate me on it ?

levittown ford is a forum member and may be able to get one for you. they used to be cheap like 40 or 50 bucks but now i think they are about 4 times that.
