Can you imagine buying a brand new car/truck that's been sitting outside for 6 months? I'm fortunate to keep my vehicles in the garage. I wouldn't want something that's already started to rust.

Some of em have probably been sitting out since winter, covered in ice/snow, then rained on, and now sitting in 100 degree temps for weeks on end....really good for the finish and interior. Can you imagine buying a brand new car/truck that's been sitting outside for 6 months? The ones that are functional do get rotated and moved around somewhat regularly but yeah there are problems for the broncos for example just about every one we get that was sitting at good old dirt mountain has the "bronco bolts" on the trail sights and other exterior bits completely rusted out and of course those simple little bolts which are a pia to get out especially when rusted are on backorder..... for like 2 months. Some of em have probably been sitting out since winter, covered in ice/snow, then rained on, and now sitting in 100 degree temps for weeks on end....really good for the finish and interior.
And, since sitting that long, probably every bit of lube in the engine and tranny from any initial start up has drained, and moisture accumulated in the pans.
Great way to start off owning your "new" vehicle !!!
With the heatwave we've had I wouldn't be surprised if they are damaged in some way seeing how the windows are up and they sit in a hot parking lot day after day. What was that windshield recall for? I'm sure Ford has moles here. I read an article yesterday where Ford was talking about what they're doing to improve quality control (cameras on the production line was mentioned?), and they also said they were monitoring various social media and owners forums to gain insight. My truck only shipped when it did last fall because I called Ford out on Twitter. It dosen't effect me...I have my 2021. Just keep reading posts from members who have had Rangers, Broncos, Mavericks on order for long wait times....like 2 years for Broncos. Just sad that Ford keeps announcing "New" models or editions when they can't even deliver whats been ordered.
Maybe if someone higher up the food chain at Ford read some posts here and obviously on other forums, they would see how underrated they are becoming in the view of their loyal customers.
If that’s true then they missed the thread of removed items. On second though, maybe they did and figured hey if we ditched this think they would notice!? ?I'm sure Ford has moles here. Yeah, I can see them using it to gather data on what seems least likely to get noticed or cause a stir lolIf that’s true then they missed the thread of removed items. On second though, maybe they did and figured hey if we ditched this think they would notice!? ?
Oh, I know. But a man can dream of the "Good old days"They'll laugh you out the door, people are so desperate to get stuff it will be easy to find a sucker who will not only pay sticker but also a markup.
So true. And FYI, if anyone remembers the LED Headlight delete, It is also an LED Fog light delete included., All for that $500 credit. Anyone find LED headlights AND foglights for $500?Yeah, I can see them using it to gather data on what seems least likely to get noticed or cause a stir lol
I think it would be a deal breaker for me honestly. Ranger was the winner when I was shopping but only because it checked all the boxes. LED headlights and fogs were among those - if I couldn't get them for the price of these trucks, it probably would've convinced me to go Colorado BisonSo true. Wait, your username looks like it could sound a lot like halogen....I think it would be a deal breaker for me honestly. Well you could use a halligan to remove a halogen... In a violent and destructive way lolWait, your username looks like it could sound a lot like halogen....
No one builds a vehicle without a VIN. A VIN does not get created without an order.Does this apply to vehicles stuck "in production?" Do these vehicles have a VIN?
My order just went into production this week - I can't figure out if that means a Ranger is getting pulled from a lot (and getting finished), or if one is starting from scratch. thx!
