Well, I guess someone at Ford was watching this thread, because a new round was announced today. $2750 for 2019s and $1000 for 2020s.

I bought my truck Dec 30th when I took the fusion in for an oil change an came home with a new ranger. There were $6100 of all 2019's. My kids are grown so I wasn't interested in the 4 dr since it was quite a bit more than a supercap. Got my XLT 4x4 for 27,100 before X plan. X plan didn't mean much though because the total incentives was so high already. I think it was worth another $700 off.

When I placed the order for mine last week, I pointed at the $699.00 Doc Fees and said "We have to negotiate this doc fee."

The saleswoman quickly left to one of the nearby offices/cubicles and came back with a $75.00 Doc fee. She apologized, saying the Doc fee for the X Plan was a flat $75.00. Not sure if true.
My X plan reduced the doc fees from $300 to $100. Saw a $799 fee on dealer's website for in stock cars. I think the X plan eliminates that too. I'm not paying it and it was never brought up in the pricing (for now) on my ordered 2020. Truck to be built 7/20/20.

The way I understand current rules in IllAnnoy..
Illinois passed a law limiting the doc fee maximum, they then passed an antidiscrimenatory rule declaring that every customer for a given year must be charged the same fee.:wink:Dealers then charge the maximum fee on the first sale of the year, then cry that it can not be negotiated :like:
You may not be giving lobbyists enough credit for earning their pay. They were in the courts in Indiana again last year fighting for the dealers, according to my consumer protection wife. I seem to recall that they basically won. I'd provide more detail but the nerdy legal answer I got caused me to glaze over. It's a frequent occurrence.

Hoo boy. Rebates apparently are stopped again. Down to $1250 on the 2019 and $0 on the 2020.
