VW did that with the clock spring on the Passat (maybe others too) - mine bit the dust outside of the regular warranty but was replaced n/c because of the extension on that item - that sure was a nice surprise.

YTD Ford has already broken the record for number of recalls and with 2 months remaining they may well push the bar higher ? What about CEO Farley's past claims that Ford was determined to fix quality issues and reduce warranty outlays.

I'm still getting reminder recall notices for the backup camera on my 2016 Mustang GT. What's the deal with Ford and backup cameras?

I experienced a black screen in my Mustang, but only when I was running it at the track (road courses). It works fine as long as I'm not at the track.
