Seems the fastest, cheapest way to increase illumination from the fog light would be a $40 LED bulb swap, e.g. Auxito bulb. I'm thinking yellow. From all accounts, it illuminates further and wider than stock.

Other option, replace the full fog assembly with something like Diode Dynamics.. for $280+.

I'm a function over form type of guy. Are the Diode Dynamics 7 times better, brighter, etc? They cost 7 times more than a LED bulb swap.

Do the $40 LED bulb swaps result in increased fog light performance? If yes, I'd lean that way.

I have zero issues with LED bulb upgrades in fog lights meant for halogens.

They are fog lights, who cares about proper cut off at ground level.

Yes LED bulbs will give you some extra light, but a fog light is a fog light, bulb or otherwise. Not meant for long distance.

I did Auxitos for Fog, Low, & High. Awesome upgrade, light cutoff is great, no complaints. The really fancy LED's on my wife's CX5 grand touring are better, but for like $100 total it was well worth it.

I went with switchbacks -LASFIT off Amazon
They aren't cheap $100 - but $20 off right now.
I paid $90 a year and a half ago. And they still work fine.
But you cant use the fog on turn FORScan option, you will end up with one on white and the other on amber. Well I guess you "can" LOL.

Short version, yes the diode dynamics are worth the money especially for those Washington state winters...i did a similar upgrade on my focus st but with Baja Designs, and they were a genuine night and day difference. They cut through all the spray, and gave me a massive amount of confidence in my vision during night drives. I had swapped my headlight bulbs for some LED's from diode dynamics, and they couldn't hold a candle to what the baja designs fogs put out.

For the record, they were Baja Designs squadron sports with wide lenses, which now sit on the a-pillar mounts on my ranger.

I switched to these. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07KM3WTWC/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

replacing my H11 halogen fogs with led dual color fogs, probably wouldn't get dual color again, the automatic high beams will change the color, however they worked great in the few new england night time snow storms I had to deal with last year.

warning, on some rangers they added an extra cable tie right behind the halogen fog light bulbs, makes the initial removal a pain in the ....... once you cut it everything comes out easy.

it is the Yellow color you want, that is what cuts through the white snow the best.

I also did Auxitos for low, high and fog and have no regrets. I say buy em, try em and if you don't like them return them and get the Diodes.
