Does a Fitzstick impact the warranty? I want to put one in but don't want it to void my extended warranty.

Thanks

the 20,000 maint schedule on fordpass says (they’ll) “ check your transmission fluid level if equipped with a dipstick“

ask dealer for details

They have repaired my transmission twice under warranty with it installed.

When I specifically asked about it, the service advisor said, "good luck trying to blame a transmission failure on anything but the transmission" he said it's one of Ford's biggest warranty problems right now.

I think it comes down to the individual dealer, some will like it, some won't care, some may want to charge the customer extra time to R&R it.

I offered to remove it, or pay extra during one of the repairs, the tech's response was he'd rather R&R it and be able to check it from above.

The dealer would be the one to raise an issue with it, either with you, or Ford, so it would mostly depend upon them and what their position on it is.

Technician should buy you a coffee for having it. Checking the level at operating temperature is a dangerous thing.

I installed one last week, I actually popped my hood to show it off today. One guy asked why it didn’t come with one. Another guy said it looked oem. Pretty slick product.

The dealer / Ford would have to prove that whatever modification you did, DIRECTLY caused the problem / failure. It would be funny to see the look on the judge's face when Ford says "an oil dipstick was the cause of the transmission failure", especially with all the issues the 10R80 is known for.

Agree with you 100% having said that when you go to some dealerships there are service people that will try to deny warranty for some minor things. The Frontier I traded on my Ranger had a rear pinion seal leak and the muffler had a spot on it that looked like something had melted on it. The shop supervisor would not start warranty claim because he thought something had wrapped around driveshaft and caused seal to fail. I got the shop manager involved and he said that it would be covered under warranty.
