New Ranger Muffler Spatter Warranty Issue

Mostly - I was surprised that this left the plant - looks like an inspector/QC lets that through, OK, interesting. Like I said - it looks unprofessional - sure it's functional but if I can do a better job welding.... I really dislike a restaurant where I'm a better cook, what am I paying to go out for...

Can't wait to hear what you say about the "holey" rocker panels and missing tie down's !!!

Part of it is I'm looking for a manufacturer/dealer who has some customer service. Like - sorry that muffler looks like crap here's some floor mats for your new truck. That would have been great. I'll have alot of business in the future but... nobody seems to care about quality. Maybe I should go back to japanese trucks with Kiazen and the Toyota way etc. Was hoping it was gonna be Ford but meh so far...

Who spends time laying under a truck looking at a muffler, I can understand it if it was where it was noticeable .

Not to take away from the fun of this thread but I looked at the pictures again. It looks like the factory weld on the hanger make have broken loose. Maybe in shipping and been re-Welded at a later date to repair.

I don't think so mine looks like the OP's and it wasn't done after the fact. Honestly I had to go look to see if it had the spatter but that's the least of my worries.

Who spends time laying under a truck looking at a muffler, I can understand it if it was where it was noticeable .

It's not under the truck It is right through the wheel well, the visible part

Yes - looks fresh and like it's a big pool from the top hanger that broke and spattered below - IDK

Ok I don't remember how mine looked. I had my exhaust system replaced with a dual system, 3 inch in and 2 2.5 inch out. I really like how it turned out.

I secretly walk thru parking lots, looking at truck wheel wells to see what I can see.
Disgusting habit, but you would be suprised at the un-speakable things I've seen. Since this is a family forum, I cannot go into any detail !!!
