And unfortunately, Maverick doesn't come in a Scab... ?
I know, right? If there was a Mav Scab, I might think about it. Mav Scab PHEV, even better. I doubt that will ever come, just like a PHEV scab ranger.

Welcome to the forum - nice looking truck. Since it’s your first truck, you probably don’t already have a laundry list of things you’d like to do with it. However, you did notice the bouncy ride and upgrading your rear shocks will solve that quickly.

Now, don’t let these reprobates talk you out of your “easy money” with all kinds of crazy ideas on how to mod your truck, all the stuff you need, and even more that you don’t.

I was perfectly happy with my stock XLT and then I found this forum. Now, I’m eating cat food and just look what they did to my innocent Ford Ranger!

Nice Truck!
I just recently changed to Bilstein 5100's on all 4 corners with a 1.5" level. Increased from factory tires to 265/65/18's. I love the look. The ride improved. But did take a slight hit on mpg's. Most likely due to the tires. But I'm happy with it.

Do you have any pics? I'm thinking of a similar set up

LOL, I'm well north of $5,000 for add-ons. All of them, of course, extremely vital to a truck that goes about 2,500 mils a year!

Good luck with your new truck and lock away your wallet! =D

Don't google this, it's literally a slippery slope all the way to the poor house ...

Your forgot to mention that over spending on mods has forced some Ranger owners to get on dumpster-diving routes...

Is that like a spray wax? Back in 2003 I bought a 'mid life crisis' Beamer, and got into detailing. The go-to stuff was Klasse. It was by far the best stuff I've ever used to wax.... or, it was the best stuff I was told I needed to have. :) Very easy application, spray on and wipe off. That was after all the washing and claying of the paint, etc. I don't do all that any more. I call a mobile detail guy when I want my stuff waxed. I don't drive much any more and it sits in the garage, so I'm about ready to call for my second detailing on my 2020.

Welcome OP to the R5G forum. That is a good looking Ranger. Yes you can spend money for lots of things. I installed rear shocks to cure the bounce. If you get your wife a Maverick just look at what you will be able to add, Ha Ha.

I like chrome. I was excited about my chrome bumpers. The dealer actually messed up when they put in the order and ordered a Sport package. I think I started to cry, because I saw that on the Ford order site at night when the dealership was closed. I think I e-mailed the saleslady three times hoping she'd see it in the morning. She did, and she had it fixed right away.
Welcome to the forum! I think you'll find it's a good small-ish truck; very capable. It's not my main/daily driver (that's my wife's old Lincoln...now she has a new Lincoln...) but I try to at least take it on an errand or two once a week.
Like you, I work from home; my wife doesn't - she has quite a commute, actually. My company declined to renew the office lease when it expired at the beginning of the pandemic, so now the whole team works from home, all the time. Definitely adds flexibility, like when the Ranger needs to make a Lowe's run mid day! :)

Enjoy your truck, and welcome to the forum.

My story about a chrome package, I'll keep it as short as possible: In 2021 when I decided to buy a truck, I looked at my local dealer. They found one I might buy on a 'storage lot', they said. While they were getting it, I went to another dealer and drove a white truck with the chrome package. It was fine, but with the white/chrome combo, it was just too much. I told the first dealer I was interested to buy the truck they said they had on the 'storage lot'.

I showed up, ready to buy it. Walked out to the lot and they were proud a peacocks to show me my new truck. It the was the same one I had driven at the other dealer. I said, this has the chrome package, it's not the one you said you had on the 'storage lot', and I showed them the emails on my phone... not the same truck. They said 'oh yes, this is what we showed you'.

I walked out while there were 3 people staring at a computer screen talking in hushed voices.

I found my now truck at a dealer 3 hours away, in the start of the pandemic, and I'm so happy because I got the truck I wanted instead of settling. (Actually, it was way more than I wanted, but I got the color, trim, and interior color, but with way more than I would have wanted, but I got a good deal cause it had been on the lot for 5 months)

Really appreciate all the warm welcomes, jokes, anecdotes, and advice! I will definitely be the first one to admit that the appearance of my Ranger is clean but simple. When I was shopping around aesthetically preferred the look of the black or red Rangers but this one was the model I wanted (2019 Lariat SuperCrew FX4) was a close drive from me, and most importantly had the best price by far.

Now I don’t wanna toot my horn too much here but I do believe I got the best deal on this particular truck model in the whole U.S. of A. Did a nationwide search for the parameters (1 owner, clean carfax - no accidents, regular maintenance record, under 50k miles, Ford Ranger Lariat SuperCrew FX4 ) and this one was the lowest price anywhere, and it was right in my proverbial backyard! I suppose then it was destiny that I ended up here at the Ranger5G forum! ?
