I notice those aren't the stock wheels. Are they hub-centric? If not, that's likely the source of your "balance" issue.
I believe they are hub centric. Here’s a link to them https://www.kmcwheels.com/kmc-impact. I’ll bring it up to the tech.

I took it back to the shop 20 min before they closed. They re balanced (removed a few weights by the look of it) and I think it’s a little worse. I hopeI don’t have a dude tire.

It's rougher riding because it's an E rated tire. Much heavier duty than the stock rubbers.

They're also gonna steal some MPGs from you..

Seems like 33" e rated tires get people around 15-16 mpg.
Amen …

Nice truck buddy.

I have 305/60/18, same tire brand and it’s rough as fu.. ride and also I get around 13-15MPG ?

Do you have the them E or C rated? I'm very sure my issue is from either a messed up balance machine, the wheels, or defect in the tire. They quickly balanced again last night right before they closed and it was worse after so I plan on dropping it off tomorrow.

So I wont argue that in general a LT tire wi ride a little rough compared to a P rated tire, but it also depends on the tire brand and model too. For example I ran the Firestone Destination XT in 285/70-17. Its a load range E tire and I had it at 30 PSI. Guess what, I didnt have a ride quality issue at all. Yeah I may have been able to improve it a little with different shocks but I never got to that point unfortunately. My suggestion to you, lower the pressure to 32 and go from there. It may make enough of a difference for you.

I should add that if you did the spacer leveling kit that most likely contributed to the rough ride as well. It would be in your best intrest to get shocks and struts front and rear.

I believe the hub bore on our trucks is 93.1

Assuming you got the 17x8s in our bolt pattern at +20 offset the hub bore is 106.1 and at +35 it's at 100.3. According to your link.

My guess is you need some hubcentric rings.

Yeah I'm pretty sure this is why the front end has stiffened up a bit. Which isn't a problem for the time being. I will wait for my wife to complain about it before I spend some more money on new coil overs ;). For now I just want these tires/wheels balanced. Since they re balanced the vibration starts at 30 and increases at around 70 mph. Pretty unbearable.

I believe its the 17x8.5, but I will check when I get off work. I asked the manager at the shop last night about needing additional hardware with the wheels and he said no, but I will email KMC and see what they think. Do you have a link for the hub centric rings?
Thanks for the recomendation

If that's so, it's 106.1. That's quite the difference.

Every set of wheels I've ever bought that needed them came with from the vendor. But I've heard you can find them online easily.

The manager is both wrong and right. Do you "NEED" the hubcentric rings? I guess technically no, as the wheels will mount up just fine. But unless they mount them perfectly centered, you will feel any misalignment and it will feel an awful lot like an unbalanced wheel. And over time they may slightly shift, so the speeds where you feel the imbalance may change over time.

What is the tire pressure?
came here to say this- the idiots that put my wheels on my tires gave them back to me at 45(!) psi... I settled on 33psi with my 285/70/17's. Overfilling can contribute significantly to ride quality. Eager to hear what OP's pressure is

I am running KMC Canyons in the exact same specs with hub-centric rings and my truck rides nicer with my 33's, 32-33psi with Fox 2.0 level all around than the stock truck. IIRC, my KMC's have a Toyota bore size and required hub-centric rings.

If all else the same- I am running a C rated tire not an E.

Yeah I'm taking the truck in tomorrow on my day off and me and the manager are going to discuss the issues. I brought up the hub centric rings on the phone and he said that if the wheel is mounted correctly to the truck then it shouldn't be needed, but I will press him a bit more. They use a roadforce system for balancing and they are usually pretty solid in my experience, but it sure feels like the tires not balanced to me.
Regarding the PSI, they had it at 41 on all 4 when I picked it up last week. First thing I did was drop them down to 36, but after some googling it looks like people run it anywhere from 30- 40 so I'll get a proper chalk test this weekend to see what works for my set up.

Your truck looks great btw.

It could just be the tire design. I have Ridge Grapplers on one of our SUV (265/65/18) and they are solid off-road but noisier on road and stiffer feeling than the Grabber ATx on the Tremor (265/70/17)...which I just switched to 285/70/17 KO2 yesterday and was surprised how much more quiet and comfortable these KO2 are over the Grabber ATx which were more comfy than the Ridge Grapplers already.

I will say, the Ridge Grapplers probably have the best on-road grip though but those are lower profile and it is on an AWD Honda Pilot, but the tire itself seems to have noticebly better grip besides the AWD advantage.

These KO2 darn near feel like on-road as far as sound and smoothness. I have seen people complain about their KO2 as well though so who knows. I know there were like 3-4 part numbers on the 285/70/17.
