Hey Jason, How’sthe truck?

OP (Trucker) - a link to Jason’s build thread is in his signature line.
I guess it's OK? It's the wife's truck now, so I just randomly ask her how things are?

Yeah, I really should’ve done these myself. They’re for sure tedious but not difficult. Now I need new hardware and to find a way to unstick the few pieces that actually did adhere. ?
Sorry, I forgot about this post... How many of the feet actually stuck? If the shop used the adhesion promoter like they were suppose too, it's gonna be a bitch to remove...! I used fishing line to remove the actual foot, but then there's the super sticky adhesive that will be left on the truck... This crap:

Then, I used a variety of cleaners, Turtle Wax Adhesive Remover, 3M Adhesive Remover, one of those pink wheels that removes decals. They all sort of worked, but it was a PITA over a week or so... It won't affect you, since you're putting the flares back on, but make sure you clean off the black adhesive crap from above! After you get the feet sticky mess off, there's still a faint outline of the Adhesion Promoter! It's the outline of purply crap that you can see below and you can see where the feet were stuck at! Like this:

But after many, many, many cuts and buffs, I got most of it removed!

Dunno if this will help you, but I did want you to see these pics!

Nice to know! At the moment I don’t plan on ever taking them off so I had the shop do their worst as far as permanent automotive glue is concerned. ?

I thought they messed them up during the install?

Yes, but the adhesion was so poor that they were able to just take them off and do it better (hopefully).
I didn't know it was getting fixed so fast?

It's got around 8000 miles on it, that's all we've put on it since October 2021, LOL! Wife got to try out the rear locker yesterday, since Alabama got hit with an ice storm Sunday and we're still frozen... I believe I've posted the truck since Phase 2 was completed, but here it is last July, parked beside my Jeep.

Here's my Jeep yesterday morning, sitting on about 2" of solid ice...

You have more snow than we do here in Toronto. ?

I didn’t realize the truck‘s mods were “decontented”. Of course, it still looks great.

Dibs on the hood scoop. ;)

That's ice, not snow... It almost all melted away yesterday, but it rained last night and refroze...

How did you not know I took everything off the truck? I even have a bed thread of it...

I think I still have the scoop, but it's in the corner of the attic. I don't have a box for it and UPS charges for custom boxes. Shipping will probably be ridiculous getting to you too?

Ice? No thanks! Be careful out there. ?

I’m not sure how I missed your thread about the changes - I noticed the flares were different, then I saw the hood graphics and remembered you had the AD scoop from your “SEMA” build thread. Then, I noticed the wheels and grille were different, so I went to your Showcase to check things out - sure enough, a lot has changed.

I was mostly teasing about the hood scoop but if I was serious, shipping, documentation, duty, and taxes would definitely be ridiculous. Of course, a call to my brother might solve that. He was living in Daphne, AL but he moved to Tupelo. You never know. ;)
