Hey guys,
I just noticed that in your pics after relocation,
the 2 screws on the sensor module,
(originally on top with the oem bracket)
is mounted upside down and is now in the bottom?
Any issues?

I relocated mine before installing my hidden winch,
but since my fab fours bracket order is not in stock...
I just diy, and used the oem bracket and mounted it behind the plastic grill.

It was one of the first things I noticed when installing my ADD ACC relocation kit. It’s had no impact on the cruise control working. I just relocated my ACC module again - I had to move it about 4” closer to the center, because I installed 3 Rigid lights in my RTR grille. One of the lights blocked the module, so I moved it to sit between two of the lights.

I got my ranger with a Warn winch bumper already on it. I'm having issues with the ACC. It will be fine for a seemingly random amount of time from 20 minutes to over an hour and then it will say the sensor is blocked. The previous owner relocated the ACC unit. Do you see any issues with how they did it? It looks like they used the OEM bracket and just made it work in a new spot.

What would cause it to all of a sudden decide it's blocked? Any ideas?

the issue depends on what grill you're using. the stock grill has the ford emblem in the middle so you have to off-set it. the raptor grill has more problems with the letters and small openings.
Wonder what the work around is for the raptor grill

You need to pull it out and remove that ribbed plastic piece that sits in front of the sensor. That piece is used to protect the sensor from road debris, but now you’ve got that piece and the grille mounted in front of the sensor. I’m guessing it’s just too much material to penetrate reliably. You don’t need that protective cover now that the ACC module is out of the lower bumper.

If you review this whole thread, you will see what the bracket looks like with and without the ribbed cover installed. Also there are some basic instructions on how to remove the plastic cover.

I can't tell by your pics if the ACC module is 100% perpendicular to the ground, but it should be. The pics make it look like it's slightly angled downward.

Hope this helps!

There's not a different work around for the faux-Raptor grille. That grill is plastic just like the OEM grille and the RTR grille. The ACC module will work through the plastic, including the F O R D letters. I've even heard that people with "thin" metal mesh grilles have had success - but metal can cause issues.

I recommend buying the ADD or Fab Fours ACC relocation kit, but you can use the factory bracket and move it up and behind the grille (I personally can't confirm the factory bracket works, but posts indicate it's possible).

Okay check it out I figured easy way to do this. Take goooood wire snips like so, snip it like so, and voila off it comes.

So I just got this put in an hour ago and yeah, it's having problems with the FORD emblem in the raptor grille. It sees cars, then it doesn't then it does, then it errors out saying the sensor is blocked.

It probably would be fine if it were even - like the grating on your grille or even the stock grille. Or the original plastic shroud. But the fact that it's half covered and half not. It's not doing well.

I don't really know what to do now. You can see it positioned between the R/D.

So I just installed mine last night and I’m on your boat with the Ford emblem. I’m going to aim it slightly down at the road but if it does the same thing then what do we do? Put it behind the “O” or do I dremel some the plastic on the backside of the grill?
