Confirmed fix . It was indeed the wire , I have my truck back now and I am so relieved .
it was the fan wire that was hanging loose and grounding out on the crankshaft bolts. I will get a 90degree 3/8 fuel hose and make sure when I attach it , to make it have some play as you don’t want the...
Bro you’re a fucking genius . I’m sorry but like … I’m straight up impressed with your diagnosis and anyone that has airline tech respond to your messages . Listen up , he knows his shit. Super thankful for you man and I’ll let you know what he says end of day .
3/8 fuel line . Perfect . Just crazy I didn’t throw any codes and no cel . Crazy how one wire touching a bolt would cause the symptom to buck . But it does kinda makes sense with he issues I have had
update - the tech is going to test drive it tomorrow but believes he has fixed it, the fan clutch wire was rubbing on a bolt and causing it to arc, causing to the fan to have a power surge . I guess it makes sense since it only happened when the motor was warm . But we’ll see tomorrow. There’s a...
So I just dropped it off at the dealer and he drove with me for a hour and experienced what I felt . He did a torque converter test and the problem still existed on and off. He did a fuel injector test and it passed . I took a picture of it . He did a crank test and that passed . When we drove...
This is all great stuff man and very knowledgeable. I’m going to show the tech this tomorrow and have him do all this . Thanks for the help . Without a check engine light this is not fun. Diagnosis is way easier with one . The more I read about the posts the more I am leaning to a fuel injector...
So be I changed all four coils , problem still exists . Runs fine 15 min into drive and no issues but then right when the engine is warm it starts getting active . I’m gonna take it In to the dealer tomorrow and see what happens.
Things I’ve replaced so far
Egr sensor
Spark plugs
Coils
still...
Thanks I’ll post an update as soon as I get the coils in. I’m curious what ford is gonna say. I will be honest , the ford tech is really honest and has been helpful . That said I am going to go in expecting them to give me some sound reimbursement or refund . How can they say it’s a egr valve...
You would think ya but apparently they don’t always throw a code , I’ll find out Saturday if the new coils fix it but ya I would assume a check engine light would come on
I’ve researched all over online , went to the dealer twice and I will be taking it back after the new year , but if anyone can lead me into some fixes that would be great ..
80k miles ,bucking and violent jolting but very noticeable under load or going up hill. But I only feel it AFTER 10-15...
