How exactly did you take that cover off? I'm standing there staring at mine and I have no clue on what to do.
To get the cap off, you have to stick a plastic pry tool under the cap and just kind of pop it off. Here's a pic showing where to stick in the pry tool. Let me know if you have any other questions.

@j0shm1lls I got my puddle lights today just like yours and they are great, can't wait to see what they look like in the dark. Notice a big difference even in the garage during the day.

Don't mean to hijack you're thread @LightningBlue , but here's how you swap out the in-mirror turn signals on the Lariat trim. It's a 194 bulb. (WY5W)

Pop off the plastic cover, here's where the tabs are:

Housing pops off and you can just pull the bulb out:

@j0shm1lls I replaced mine today with Diode Dynamics HP5 (AMBER) LED BULBS purchased from @PandaMotorworks and I love them. LEDs all around now on my Lariat. Except for the front turn ones as I don't want hyper blink and I don't know if I'm brave enough to do forscan. Taking the mirror cap off w/ a trim removal tool was not too bad but did have to pry a little harder than I thought to pop it off. I just have a big fear of cracking something or damaging it.

That would be great to know

If not we are planing on doing a plug and play resistor.

Side note
we noticed with no resistor it didnt hyper blink outside the truck just inside on the dash which we thought was odd.

Thank you
I had the same issue3 with plugging LEDs into the trailer 4 pin. Dash hyper blinked. I removed them. I would like to put bright LEDS into the mirror turn signals. IF it hyper flashes I won't use it. I don't care to deal with resistors either. So if I can find an LED with built-in resistance, I would give it a go.

Do you have hyper flashing on the mirror LED?

Hyper flash can be turned off in forscan I have no hyperflash at all anymore
I don't have forscan. Do they naturally flash fast with the 194 LED? I wish they made LEDS with resistance.....

No hyper blink, I think if I change the front main turn signal is when that happens, but I don't want to spend $90 for two LED bulbs and find out that's when it does. Now from reading some post, it says only happens on the dash, but I'd like some more info if it's the dash only and all the exterior are just regular blink. I might be able to stand the dash hyper blink.

It’s only hyper blinks in the cab outside every thing is normal

Trying to understand this. There are two turn signals lamps on eacg side. PLUS the mirror lamps.

I know changing turn signals will cause hyper flashing. If we change ONLY the bulbs in the mirror with 194s. will hyper flashing still be an issue inside the vehicle?
