Extended warranty for '19 Ranger?

OP lives in CA. I believe they joined Florida in not allowing extended warranties from anyone out of state this year.

I live in CA and contacted Zach about the warranty. Not available here...

I bought mine before the 3/36 warranty expired and it paid for itself 2-3 times when I had the heater box replaced last month for the blend doors binding up. I did 6yr/75k for $850 with $100 deductible (you cannot get that good of a price now).

yes, it my case there is no more original so its new. They do have options for those with existing warranty

I just went through an episode with extended warranty. My 2019 Lariat Started developing problems in the 3rd year. Heater box, Sync3, parking sensors and cruise control problems. In April I got an email from Ford saying my extended warranty expired at 60k. The very next day the heater box went again after 16 months.

When I took it to Ford to make sure it was the heater box again they told me about the longer warranty Ford has. It was $2700 for 3 years plus the $200 for an inspection. Because the heater box was known before purchasing I would not be covered for repair. The service people told me all the hi tech stuff on the truck is very expensive and the vehicle needs that warranty. Quick math told me I'd be paying just over 4k for repair and warranty.

Told Ford I'd get back to them about everything. Headed to a Toyota dealer and traded the Lariat in on a Tacoma. I also reasoned that the newer vehicles seem to have a life expectancy of about 3 years before they fall apart. So, I leased a basic model Tacoma for 3 years. No more owning for me if the automakers can't build a car that lasts longer then 3 years before it puts you in the poor-house.
