I have been looking for some time now for a larger fuel tank for the Ranger and it seem there were many choices to be had. Outside of the one made by
Titan like this:
https://titanfueltanks.com/products...dekick-ii-15-gal-portable-liquid-tank-5040115

But the other da I came across this one:
https://longrangeamerica.com/product/ford-ranger-2019-2023---37-gallon-replacement

Nice but crap over 2000.00 tha is a hard pill to swallow and 37 gallon is much more than what I think is needed has anyone seen anything else?

For a "built in" the Long Range America is the only one...
Several members here have them/installed them....they may chime in, but also look it up in the forum sites.
Go to the "search forums" and enter Long Range America Tanks.........

There is a reason the Fuel Tank from LRA cost that much. For starters it is made in Australia and is ADR Compliant (Australia DOT Standards). Because it is made in Australia, it is made by individuals that are making a living wage. Also there is the shipping cost that needs to be taken into account for.

That said I got to see the tank in person when I made an attempt to get the first one put on my truck 4 years ago. It is an excellent tank and well worth the cost especially if you Tow constantly or like taking long road trips. It allows you to plan your fuel stops effectively. It is also a great option for those that like to travel OffRoad off the beaten path!

The parent company is Long Range Automotive, headquartered in Victoria, Australia. They have a long association with the aftermarket 4x4 scene over here.

I fully understand why it's so much and Australia is miles ahead of the US market when it comes to offroad. The cost is hard to swallow but understandable all things considered.

A few metal jerry cans work well too. $2000 buys lots of other dumb stuff.
Unless you have a safe place to Mount said Jerry cans, they do absolutely no good and take up a lot of bed space. Also having that extended range is excellent especially when you don't have to be on the side of the road using said Jerry cans.

I must admit subscribing to that sheet myself, but then diesel is much safer to carry than petrol, and I've never needed more 2 cans max, even with the distances we travel over here, given the good fuel consumption of the diesel.

The argument of course is metal or plastic? I've used both over the years, and both have pro's and con's. Metal cans eventually rust unless you are fanatical about painting the scratches and cleaning them out internally, although less of a problem with diesel, being a light oil.

Plastic cans don't rust but eventually get brittle and crack from constant expansion and contraction of fuel vapor, I don't think that any plastic is truly 100% fuel resistant.

I'm currently using metal because I tossed my last plastic can a couple of years ago and the metal cans just happened to be on sale, but I did get 30 years of hard use out of that pair.

I had already planned on using fuel cans to begin with I have some containers that they ship chemicals in that hold 8 gal each and I have two this would double what I can hold and I can space them out in the back of the truck and not on one side.

I have also thought about using a boat fuel tank that is 12 Gal and it can double as a tank for my backup generator at home .

In my state Aux tanks for gasoline is not legal you can only have diesel aux tank in your bed of your truck! I had a 50-gallon Transfer flow for my Ram 3500 when I had it 85 gallons of fuel took me a long way but cost more than I wanted to spend! Better check what is legal in your state before you do anything!

If that were the case they would be banning a lot of vehicles that are on the road as we speak. She specify I'm talking the '80s and '90s Ford Chevy and Dodge pickups that have dual tanks from the factory. I know because I have a 94 F-150 that came from the factory with a front and rear tank.

I used to have an F150 with dual tanks as well.
Wish I still had that truck.
