Hello again all!
Just got my Ranger a few weeks ago up here in the cold of Michigan. After parking it in the garage and having to pull it out a couple of times to grab some ladders, I noticed a fair amount of liquid coming out of the muffler. My understanding, especially considering that fact that our mufflers are mounted vertically, that there are two small holes in order to let the condensed water drain out of the muffler. My concern is that the liquid, that has been leaking on the floor, seems to have quite a bit of black soot/carbon in it to the point where it's staining the concrete -__-. As evident by the attached photo (I am not sponsored by Kroger), the liquid is fairly black and dirty (ignore the blueness of it, that is from the logo on the bag).
Again my understanding of the process is that the water condenses in the muffler and then drains out the holes, especially in colder climates such as mine. Obviously, I do not plan on plugging the holes, however I'm concerned that there's too much carbon/soot build up in my muffler, due to the amount of it in the liquid....that's now stained my garage -___-.
Any knowledge and/or thoughts are greatly appreciated!
