I also just replaced this today after reading about it for months. We live on a mile long road that’s a significant incline and it’s immediately an incredible improvement. $100 well spent.

Thanks for the pics and tutorial.

New to forum. Had to put my experience in here. On my third pressure switch. After #2 problem solved but came back soon after. Not as bad as before the replacement but noticeable. A year later truck was undriveable. I replaced the sensor again the the feed tube (metal tube) from the actuator that feeds the pressure sensor at the two rubber hoses. Anyways the metal feed tube gets so coked up and will shortly damage the new sensor again causing the bucking again.
The pressure switch is the problem but you have to fix the source.. the metal feed tube!!
Clean it or replace it with the new sensor. I promise you it will perform like a completely different vehicle.

Wish I read that before I installed…

@Bertie321 - part number or suggestions on how to clean? I can’t imaging sticking anything down there is a good solution. I didn’t notice if it was removable. But, I assume it is?

No I wouldn't suggest at all to clean it in place the tube has to be removed if you're going to clean it and soaked I don't know what kind of solution, mineral spirits, acetone I don't know I didn't want to deal with it I just bought the new tube

I have not had one off, and have always questioned if any of these may be getting clogged up.
But yes they can be removed and possibly cleaned with a piece of (Safety Wire and Brake Clean) or a small bottle brush.

But to ensure you get a proper seal on both ends of the tube you will need to also replace the seals.
I would like to see a pic of a clogged tube if anybody actually finds one so far they all have been reported as clean with only moisture, but however not many have actually removed the tube for a full inspection.

The Intake Manifold side of the tube has a gasket and the EGR Valve side of the tube has a (O-Ring)
I know in the past I have brought up the possibility that either end of the tube or the EGR Temp sensor (O-Ring) may be leaking and creating a leak in the tubing, thus the DPFE sensor would be reading and picking up inaccurate pressure readings.
Anyway, there is not an easy way to check the tube for clogging without actually pulling it off.

The Tube PN is: LB5Z-9E469-B, it appears it comes with the Gasket & O-ring.

It's not fun but fully doable you just have to lay on top of the engine it's in very back seven mounting locations on the tube two on the actuator flange one above it two more Downstream and then the other end flange which is two more bolts yes you need new gaskets as far as my tube I was going to save it have it cleaned ready to go but like I said I didn't even want to deal with it throw it away

A wire tube brush and a drill will clean the tube up nicely. Think cleaning rifle barrels.

Anyone have the brush that was used to do this? What is the inside tube size If some one has it off?

Note sure of the diameter of the tube. But once you find out, you may be able to use a modified brush from a gun cleaning kit. I'd try to use the flexible cable in the red box attached to the appropriate brass brush (that may need to be shortened to make the bends) attached to a power drill. Gun barrels can get very dirty and need to be cleaned after each use. If you are not familiar with clean a gun, take a peek at a few videos for "how to" videos. The handle on the cable is removable.

Get creative with the different tools in the kit and don't be afraid to modify to insure you can get to most of the tube. Use a high quality solvent to loosen hardened deposits.

I've not tried this yet, but it is how I would approach the problem. I've got enough old gun cleaning kit bits and pieces to fabricate something that will work. Below is a sample kit. You don't need 90% of what it contains. I provided it to give you an idea of what is available. Just match the caliber with the tube diameter and have at it.

Not exact but I had to top off my washer fluid this AM and I threw a wrench on the tube at the Intake End (OD) = 3/4 In

So 3/4 in brush (approximate) and it looks like the Inside Diameter might just be big enough to fit my Borescope inside it.
I am curious what the (Orifice) split looks like inside the tube. between the 2 DPFE Sensor Hose ports

and then using Ebay:

My quick search could not find a good pic of this end (EGR Valve) connection

For cleaning REF: This is a Example Only of what it should look like and may require a piece of safety wire or similar to clear the (orifice). This is why I would (if I had it apart) put my scope in the tube to get a visual on it or if replacing cut the tube open as if I was actually pulling it off, knowing me would have a new one already to install.

Ref Only - Not actual tube
This is only for showing the presence of the Orifice and what to expect when running the brush through the tube.

Well that's quite the challenge! And clever engineering...

That first 90 degree bend will be the toughest. I'd use a smaller diameter brush and a bore scope to confirm it is doing the job. Ned to go at from both directions.

I dislike EGR systems. ALL of them.
