As an owner of both products, with love/hate for both products and their fanatics, I do find the internet screeching on the topic hilarious.

Hopefully, the delay of the 6G Ranger will create a better product when launched with hopefully minimal hiccups. Final design was approved in 2019. I see the next generation Colorado and Tacoma are beginning to be just tested. Them having a 2023/2024 release date, with less development.

I love Jeeps. I’ve owned three of them - a 1957, and two 1977s. What I love most about them is their ruggedness and simplicity. The classic Jeep, the one that made the brand what it is, has been gone for a very long time. The party ended in 1986, when the last CJ-7 left the factory. The early Wranglers, with leaf spring suspension, are mostly acceptable. Every so-called “improvement” since then has prioritized on-road performance and drivability, for the sole purpose of growing the market. Today’s Wrangler is, at most, visually similar to the original, but disappointing in every attribute that made the original so good.

You could probably say something similar about every Bronco made after 1977.
