Looking for some recommended options for ditch lights. I'm thinking of going hybrid. Part flood, part spot. Mostly for animal spoting while driving on dark roads. Hunt in Maine and Moose are black and always crossing in front of me. Need to illuminate sides of road up a distance.

I can't seem to find what you want on http://www.diodedynamics.com/

I bought a pair from that website a while back. I wonder if they are out of stock or quit making them.

This place has the combo lens from diode dynamics.

On the DD website - select the SS2 in combo

Ok....It's there. SS3 Combo.

I was looking for a link to it. Pressing "combo" changes it but doesn't give a link directly to it.

These are nice lights but not powerful enough for the front end...I use these for rear lighting...

I just put ss3 pro combo amber ditch lights on my 4 runner. They do well lighting up the sides of the road. I’m going to get another set of the pro spots and run one spot one combo light on each vehicle.

I have the SS2 sport flood and can say they are not as bright as I'd like. I'll likely get a pair of amber pro combos for up front and move the white sports to my incoming bed rack like @Msfitoy did. In your case, i definitely recommend going with their brightest offering.

My main recommendation would be to get the SDHQ ditch light brackets, they mount where the hood hinges attach to the body, so they are more outboard and don't move with the hood (this really bugs me for some reason).

As for lights, I currently have Baja Designs Squadron Sports with the combo lens, and I'm less than impressed. They used to be my fog lights on my Focus ST, worked great for that but they are less than impressive as ditch/aux lighting. I would recommend the Diode Dynamics SS3 Pro's, i have a set in amber with the fog lens as my fog lights, and good lord do they throw off good light.

Agree, these are the brackets I used. Definitely aims the lights more toward the ditch. I used KC lights 3" C-Series C3 LED Pair Pack System.

Diode Dynamics or Rigid. Spend a little bit more for quality....not cheap. Watch videos on Youtube comparing beams on the cheap brands to the good ones, fading cases on the cheap one's too.

Its a new truck. I don't mind spending a bit more for quality. I keep my trucks at least 10 years. I'll check them out. Thanks
